We have games across Europe covered this Sunday. There are a number of exciting matches in Italy, Germany, and England. We’ve got some of our favourite player value bets for you to look at before the action unfolds.
Napoli are looking to keep their foot on the gas in Serie to ensure they maintain a healthy lead at the top while ambitions in Turin have been thwarted by off the field scandal. Dortmund will be looking to improve so they can take advantage of a highly competitive Bundesliga campaign. Klopp’s Liverpool are out for revenge as they take on Brighton in the FA Cup.
Brighton v Liverpool
Estupinan will play left-back against Liverpool in the upcoming match. He made two fouls when Brighton beat Liverpool 3-0 earlier this month and will most likely be up against Harvey Elliot or Mo Salah. He received a yellow card in the first league match between these sides playing as a left wing-back in De Zerbi’s first game in charge of the Seagulls.
In all competitive matches this season, including the World Cup, Estupinan averages 1.7 fouls per game. The Ecuador international is aggressive in the tackle and with his interceptions; meaning he makes an abundance of fouls.
It is worth noting that in the last five left-backs who have played against Liverpool, all of them have made at least one foul. Klopp’s side will want revenge and will attack with real menace in this upcoming match.
Juventus v Monza
Juventus is currently in a difficult situation, having been rocked by a points deduction that has left them in 11th place and out of reach of the top four. This means that Monza could potentially go above Juventus with a win. Despite this, Juventus remains defiant and wants to fight the ruling. The atmosphere in the stadium should spur the team on and give them a boost. Angry Juventus fans blame the previous board that were forced to resign as the scandal unfolded. That anger hasn’t been directed at the players.
One player that has not made a flying start since his arrival in Turin is Di Maria. Although he looked dangerous in his last match, playing 3 shots on target and even found the net in a draw against Atalanta. The Argentine converted from the penalty spot in the last match and should be on penalties again should the Old Lady win one. Di Maria’s overall statistics show that he is averaging 2.7 shots per 90 minutes played, with one shot on target per 90 minutes.
Juventus had shown signs of improvement. Di Maria looked more like the player than sparkled at PSG and Real Madrid in his last game. He will pose a threat against a Monza side that have just one win in their last five matches.
Bayer Leverkusen v Borussia Dortmund
Jude Bellingham is back in the squad for Dortmund after being suspended for their 2-1 win over Mainz. The team is currently in 5th place, just outside of the Champions League spots. Despite this, they will not have given up on the title just yet as the German league is wide open this season with Bayern only five points ahead. Nagelsmann’s side haven’t performed to their usual standard without Robert Lewandowski and Dortmund need to improve in order to take advantage.
Bellingham is one of Europe’s hottest properties and will command a large transfer fee. He has many potential suitors and will want to make this a memorable season with Dortmund.
The young talent averages 2.1 shots per 90 minutes played and 0.8 of those find the target. He will be looking to make a big impact for his team as they fight for a spot in the top four and potentially the league title. The England international scored in his last game against Augsburg.
Napoli v Roma
Victor Osimhen is currently one of the most in-form players in the league and has become a top target for a host of European heavyweights. However, Napoli are also having a great season. They are one of the best teams in Europe and are currently sitting at the top of the league, as well as performing well in the Champions League.
They are on course to secure their first Scudetto since 1990. They were beaten by Inter in their first match after the World Cup but have since bounded back with three consecutive league victories. They are 12 points clear in Serie A and this is in no small part down to Osimhen. The striker is the top scorer in the league with 13 goals after 19 matches.
Osimhen has played in 15 matches, clocking in 1323 minutes, and averaging 3.95 shots per game, with 1.7 of them being on target. This makes him a valuable asset to the team, especially when this rampant Napoli side are on the attack. He has a great physical presence and his eye for goal makes him a handful for any defence.
In the reverse fixture against Roma, Osimhen had two shots on target and despite conceding 12 shots, Napoli was able to secure a victory. This highlights the importance of Osimhen to the team and the potential impact he can have in important matches.
