West Ham v Anderlecht
🏟
Thursday 13th October – 8:00PM KO
West Ham hosts Anderlecht on the fourth matchday of the Conference league.
The English side are as good as placed for the next round after their victory in Belgium (0-1). It could be that with an eye on the next league game against Southampton, they will rest some players. Up front, with Scamacca, the Hammers seem to have finally found someone who can easily score goals. It is hard to count on a fully fit Antonio for a full season. Bowen is also starting to boost his stats in recent weeks.
Anderlecht did not play a bad game against West Ham in Brussels. It successfully put pressure on the opponent at times, but once in possession, a decisive pass was lacking. At the back, it remains difficult for The Belgian team to display confidence. Last weekend they won 1-3 at KV Mechelen after Mazzu intervened at halftime. Wesley Hoedt, defender with the most experience but out of form, made way for Stroeykens. The latter thanked and scored two goals. We expect minutes for the young striker again against West Ham. The other young striker, Duranville, fell out in Mechelen with an injury and will not play The Hammers will show up more offensively at home than in Brussels. Guys who will get their chance will be eager to prove themselves, because the internal competition is fierce among the English side. Anderlecht also wants to adopt a more offensive game. After all, coach Mazzu has been under pressure for a while due to his rather defensive approach. This weekend, he seems to have made a U-turn. So two teams that will be eagerly looking for goals. More than 2.5 goals should be an achievable bet.
