Gallager’s tenacity is well documented from his time at Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, and the early signs from his spell at Tottenham suggest that he hasn’t lost much of that intensity. Gallagher has committed 2+ fouls in four of his five matches in the Premier League so far, and has fouled in all of these games if you factor in Sub on Play On.

When Gallagher was at Chelsea during the 23/24 season, he committed 83 fouls across his 37 appearances for the Blues - working out to an average of 2.38 fouls committed per 90. Maintaining this average across an entire season is quite difficult, and shows just how aggressive Gallagher can be when trying to pinch the ball back. This will be Gallagher’s first time playing in the North London Derby, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him overstep the mark as he can get carried away with the emotion of these types of games.

Bukayo Saka has been operating in a central role over the last week or so, he would be an ideal opponent to tempt Gallagher into at least two fouls. Saka has drawn 42 fouls across his 18 starts in the Premier League this season (2.30 per 90). Alternatively, Gallagher could be faced by Eberechi Eze, who netted a hat trick in the initial league meeting between the sides. Eze has won 23 fouls across his 13 starts in the Premier League this season (1.79 per 90) - he was also fouled twice in that 4-1 win for Arsenal over their North London rivals.

There is excellent value with this angle when backing with Bet365, Gallagher is as short as 1.25 to commit 2+ fouls with other major bookmakers - and sits as the shortest in the market with some bookmakers in the foul odds.
