Two sides who are located closely geographically but a far apart from each other in the Premier League table. Manchester City are a constantly nibbling at the heels of leaders Arsenal compared to Leeds who sit in 15th – 2 points off the relegation zone.

It’s never a dull game when these two collide. You’ll have to go all the way back to 1995 to find the last 0-0 between these two teams. In more recent times it has been Manchester City who have dominated this fixture. No more so than the previous two meetings where Pep Guardiola’s side have an aggregate score line of 11-0! Winning 7-0 in the reverse fixture last season and 4-0 back in April.

This screams trouble for a side who have the worst defensive record in the Premier League outside of the relegation zone. Compare this to Manchester City’s goalscoring capabilities this season, finding the net 40 times in 14 games with Erling Haaland contributing to 21 of those (18G, 3A). The Norwegian striker looked a handful once again midweek in his sides Carabao cup victory over Liverpool, taking the striker only 10 minutes to get on the scoresheet.

Leeds and Jesse March will be desperate to get back to winning ways after suffering back-to-back losses before the mid-season break but will have to overcome their biggest challenge of the season to do so. Also, having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 8 Premier League games, I feel it could be a long night at Elland Road for Leeds United and their fans.
