For this bet to win we just need the favourite to win one, or more, of the seven races on Cheltenham Festival Day 1.

That's the horse that has the shortest starting price, and even if there are joint favourites for a race and one of them wins, the bet will win.

The boost will be available to back from 8am on Tuesday 10th March.

Looking at Day 1, you have at least four of the seven races with relatively short-priced favourites and considering the Champion Hurdle doesn’t look the strongest, you can make a claim that Lossiemouth should have that one wrapped up.

Granted Old Park Star is likely to get you off the mark in the first race, making this a no-sweat bet, but you do almost have three free stabs at this in the Arkle, Fred Winter and Ultima before you put all your eggs in Lossiemouth’s basket!

If this bet makes it all the way to the Plate Chase, Madara is a well-handicapped sort racing off 140 for the fourth consecutive race and with cheekpieces in action for the first time, he has a great chance of getting the job done.

I wouldn’t be confident going into the Challenge Cup (final race) with this bet as it is wide open, but it is very unlikely to get that far given the calibre of favourites prior to this.
