The Benfica forward hasn’t played a great deal of football for either Burnley or at his loan club Benfica, albeit he has some minutes in the Champions League as well as the Championship and the Primeira Liga. However, he started and played the full 90 minutes for Switzerland against Spain last time out, and if he starts again here against Serbia then he looks excellent value for shots with Bet365.

Sky Bet have also priced up shots for this match, and they make two or more Amdouni shots a 1.25 bet, whereas Bet365 have gone 1.61. This obviously makes the higher lines value as well, with three or more shots priced at 2.75 on Bet365 whilst it is still odds on for Sky Bet at 1.87.

Amdouni was Switzerland’s main forward in the qualification process for Euro 2024, playing 490 minutes in that qualification campaign. He managed 26 shots in that time, 25 of them were in the box.

Interestingly, he was used quite sparingly in the finals themselves though. He didn’t start a single match at the Euros finals, indeed, his start against Spain last time out was his first start since the last friendly before the finals. In the Spain match though, Amdouni fired off six shots in the 90 minutes, which, against such illustrious opposition, is a big number.

That contributes massively towards Amdouni’s really strong shot averages on the international stage. Across Switzerland’s last 30 matches, Amdouni averages 3.62 shots per 90, far clear of anyone else in the Switzerland squad.

To further emphasise the value on offer from Bet365 Amdouni has never failed to hit two shots or more when he has started for Switzerland in a competitive match. He did fail to fire a shot off in the pre-tournament friendlies in two matches against Austria and Ireland, the Swiss only managed 12 shots in total in those matches, and perhaps that cost him his starting place at the finals.

However, the six against Spain was the latest in a sequence in competitive internationals which goes 6, 2, 3, 2, 5, 2, and 4 in his seven competitive starts for Switzerland.

Serbia conceded 21 shots against Spain, and then 10 against Denmark. Switzerland are a very capable team, as they showed in the Euros, and if Amdouni is named in the starting XI then he should be expected to at least hit the two shot mark as he has done previously.
