Odds of 1.67 imply a 60% probability of Gordon being fouled at least twice – something that has happened in 80% of his starts so far this season.

Gordon is second in the Premier League this season on fouls won with 10. This works out as 3.7 per 90. Although this is a high figure from a small sample size, last season he earned 2.09 per 90 so he is a player well used to drawing fouls.

Has earned a minimum of two fouls in four of the five matches he has started this season. The exception was England’s 2-0 win over Finland in midweek, when he was moved away from his favoured wing role to play more centrally. He was also only given 65 minutes in that game and typically plays at least 80 for Newcastle.

Will be head-to-head with Nelson Semedo, who gave away four fouls in Portugal’s win over Scotland in his last outing. Semedo short of game time this season so could well be rusty – a problem against such a capable rival.

Semedo committed 1.4 fouls per 90 last season but notably gave away five fouls across the two matches he played against Newcastle. He was directly up against Gordon in both those fixtures.
