Levi Colwill is one of the few Chelsea players that has a personal connection to this game, having come through the youth ranks at Chelsea.

He’s collected one yellow card this season, which he picked up against Fulham on Matchday 1 in the West London derby. He hasn’t played Tottenham for a few seasons due to injury, so he’ll relish this clash.

Colwill’s last full season was the 2024/25 campaign, where he picked up nine yellow cards across just 35 starts - only Moises Caicedo (11) picked up more cautions for the Blues during that campaign.

He’ll be up against another Cobham product in Dominic Solanke, who can be quite clever with his body. It’s also notable that Colwill will be on the same side as Kudus (2.93 fouls won per 90), I can see the Chelsea centre back having to make a tactical foul against the winger when Hato gets caught higher up the pitch.

Micky Van de Ven was cautioned in this fixture last season and will be up against Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer here, who could both cause him real issues.

Van de Ven relies too much on his speed. It’s an impressive asset to have, but it’s not very helpful against strikers like Joao Pedro who are comfortable with getting the ball into feet and turning.

Joao Pedro has won 14 fouls across his six starts in the Premier League this season (2.42 per 90), underlining just how impressive his hold up play has been this season.

Cole Palmer will also be operating in pockets around the Dutchman, and can easily drag him out of position with his clever movement. He’s the second most fouled player in the Chelsea squad this term (12), so Van de Ven has the two most fouled Chelsea players this season as his direct opponents here.
