Wimbledon 2026 Expert Preview
Jannik Sinner is unsurprisingly the odds-on favourite to win the men's title at Wimbledon this year. The Italian is the reigning champion at the tournament, having beaten Carlos Alcaraz in last year's final. Alcaraz won't feature at Wimbledon this year due to injury, and so Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic and Ben Shelton are the most likely contenders to challenge for the title.
Sinner had an injury scare in his most recent tournament at Roland Garros, as he was beaten by Juan Manuel Cerundolo in five sets, when evidently feeling ill.
Sinner gets his Wimbledon title defence underway against Miomir Kecmanovic, which should be a relatively comfortable win for the world number one.
On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka is the favourite to win the Wimbledon title this year, with Elena Rybakina, Mirra Andreeva, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff making up the rest of the likely frontrunners.
