Dortmund came away 3-2 winners over Hamburg in the most recent meeting between the sides, racking up a ridiculous xG of 6.00 from 24 shots in the encounter.

Hamburg only had four shots in that game as the away side, suggesting that the two goals they scored flattered them a bit - and that there is a significant gap in quality between these sides.

Dortmund only lost two of their 17 home games in the Bundesliga last season, with only Bayern Munich collecting more points than Niko Kovac’s side at home in the Bundesliga last season.

It’s the scoring power of Dortmund that should set them apart from their opponents here, they scored 40 goals across those 17 home matches - only conceding 16.

By contrast, Hamburg only managed to win three of their 17 away games in the Bundesliga last season, only scoring 15 goals in the road which was the second lowest tally of any side in the division. 

Lyon won their opening game of the Ligue 1 season with a routine 2-0 victory over Toulouse on the road. They did manage to survive an xG of 2.77 from their opponents, but this only translated to two shots on target from the home side.

Lyon beat Le Havre 1-0 in this fixture last season, dominating the underlying numbers with an xG of 2.56 from

18 shots in that contest. Lyon also beat Le Havre at home the season prior, putting four goals past them in another comfortable victory with an xG of 3.98.

Only PSG (13) and Lens (14) won more games at home than Lyon in Ligue 1 last season (12), with Paulo Fonseca’s side scoring 30 goals across these games and conceding just 18.

Le Havre picked up most of their points at home in Ligue 1 last season, winning just three of their 17 matches at home - notably only scoring 12 goals across these games, the second lowest tally of any side in Ligue 1 when on the road last season. 

The recent head to head meetings between these sides have been very goal heavy, with each of the last five meetings seeing 3+ goals.

The most recent clash saw Lausanne cover this goal line on their own, coming away 3-0 winners in front of their own fans with nine shots on target on that occasion.

Zurich have made a pretty poor start to the campaign, losing three of their four league matches so far, but have seen goals regularly over recent months - seeing 3+ goals in each of their last 11 matches across all competitions.

Zurich’s poor form at the start of the campaign would suggest that Lausanne may be able to cover this line on their own again, though the recent head to head meetings would also indicate that Zurich tend to get on the scoresheet in this fixture. 

Both of these sides have started the season well with three wins from their opening four games of the campaign, setting up this clash to be an entertaining one in what could be an early marker in the race for the title in Switzerland.

Young Boys have seen BTTS in three of their four matches in the league so far this season, most recently coming away 4-2 winners at home over Vaduz. Young Boys scored 43 goals at home across 19 games last season (2.26 per game), so they should have the fire power to get on the scoresheet here.

Basel have seen BTTS in each of their last four matches ahead of this clash and notably saw 63 goals across their 19 away matches last season (3.31 per game). They faced off against Young Boys four times in 2025, seeing BTTS in three of these matches. 

Newly-relegated St Pauli are odds-on favourites to get their first win of the season when they host Kaiserslautern.

The visitors finished 10 points off the promotion places last season and have not set the world alight at the start of this one.

St Pauli have led, but ended up drawing their opening two games, including throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at Holstein Kiel last time out in the league.

They posted 1.72 xG in their opener and then 2.46 at Kiel, so creating opportunities has not been an issue after dropping down a level.

Kaiserslautern haven't led or trailed in the league yet, drawing their opening two 0-0 and generating less than 2 xG across those games combined.

If St Pauli can tighten up at the back a bit, they should create enough chances to get a win on the board.

Both sides played out a goalless draw in their Ligue 1 opener, but Paris FC were more impressive in doing so.

They also finished 12 points better off than declining Nice last season, with Nice having to beat Saint-Étienne over two legs to keep themselves in the top-flight.

Nice held Lorient in their opener, dropping off as the game went on after a promising first half performance.

Paris FC won this encounter 1-0 last season and will be ambitious about closing the gap on the European places in Ligue 1 this term.

They created the better chances in their 0-0 draw at Troyes last time out, winning the xG battle 1.80-0.42, and can take the positives from that into this game.

Last season’s Europa League runners-up, Freiburg, can kick off their Bundesliga season with a win over Werder Bremen.

The hosts finished 15 points better off than Werder last season, with the visitors ending the season just three points above the relegation spots.

Freiburg have done the double over Werder in the last two seasons, and all four of those wins have come accompanied by a clean sheet.

They brushed them aside 1-0 and 3-0 last term, and beat them 5-0 at home the season before that.

They sealed Conference League qualification on Thursday evening, but were able to manage their load ahead of this game, having been 3-1 up from the first leg, and beat Motherwell 4-1 in the second to ensure qualification.

Lazio have won their last six matches against Genoa.

Doing the double over them in the last two seasons in Serie A, and they’ve only conceded to them in one of those last six head-to-heads.

There could be fireworks on the touchline here with Gennaro Gattuso locking horns with Roma legend Daniele De Rossi, who arrives back in Rome with his Genoa side.

Davide Frattesi scored the only goal of the game as Lazio kicked off the season with a 1-0 win at Bologna, while Genoa lost 2-0 at home to Napoli.

Even in a bad season for them, Lazio finished seven places and 13 points higher than Genoa last term, and that gap in quality should be demonstrated in the capital on Sunday.

New England Revolution have lost five of their nine league away games this season, taking just eight points from nine away trips.

They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last six matches and have less on the line than Columbus Crew at this stage of the season.

The visitors have a 10-point cushion inside the play-off positions, while Columbus Crew are four points off, but with their healthy goal difference would likely force their way in if they can string a couple of wins together.

14 of their 20 points this season have come at home, and the Crew have scored two or more goals in three of their last five MLS fixtures.

This is the 2nd-highest rated game on my Goals Sheet for Both Teams to Score.

Sion are strong favourites for the game, and both sides saw BTTS land in the second leg of their qualifiers on Thursday.

Sion lost 5-3 at Ajax, losing 9-5 on aggregate in Conference League qualifying, while Lugano qualified for the competition, drawing 1-1 at Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday, to progress 3-2 on aggregate.

Lugano have scored two or more goals in all three of their Swiss Super League games so far, scoring 11 across those, while Sion have done the same and netted eight across their trio.

BTTS has landed in the last three head-to-heads, all taking place since November last year.

Luton have been bonkers so far this season, coming from 3-1 down at half time to beat Reading 4-3 in their league opener before drawing 2-2 with Notts County at home.

Their defending has been very, very questionable, and they have their excellent attacking players for the level to thank for their tally of four points from the two games.

Mansfield have also seen BTTS land in their first two league games, beating Doncaster 2-1 before losing away to Peterborough by the same scoreline.

Mansfield scored twice in both meetings with Luton last season, winning 2-0 on the road and drawing 2-2 at home.

Luton come in as favourites but have a preparation disadvantage as they lost 2-0 at Chelsea on Wednesday, while Mansfield have had a clear week to get ready for them.

Vaduz have seen BTTS land in all four of their league games so far, despite losing all of them.

They’ve actually scored two or more goals in the last three of those games.

The bet has landed in six of their last seven games in all competitions.

Grasshopper have seen BTTS land in their opening three league outings, they’ve conceded by the 53rd minute in all of those.

Vaduz saw both teams score in 13 of their 18 home league games last term, and they’ve looked even more chaotic this season, pointing towards BTTS as a clear angle into this encounter.

Ajax have scored and conceded two or more goals in each of their last four games.

Scoring two or more themselves in 6/6 2026/27 outings.

That includes letting in two goals or more against Shelbourne (League of Ireland), Heerenveen (Eredivisie) and twice to Sion (Swiss Super League).

Telstar have seen both teams score in their opening two Eredivisie games, impressively beginning the campaign with a 2-1 win at NEC Nijmegen.

Posting encouraging xG totals of 1.66 and 1.42 in the process, the kind of chance creation that suggests they’ll breach what’s been a very open Ajax backline of late.

Tromso are heavy odds-on favourites for this game, but need to recover from the 4-0 thrashing they were on the end of at Brighton on Thursday night.

They have seen both teams score in each of their last three Eliteserien games.

Conceding once at HamKam (10th), twice at Aalesund (15th) and three times at Molde (4th).

9th-placed Sarpsborg have regularly been seeing this bet win recently.

It’s landed in their last three in the league as well, including in trips to Molde (3-3) and 2nd-placed Viking (2-1), so they should put themselves about against 3rd-placed Tromso, with the visitors having a significant preparation advantage after Tromso had just 22% of the ball at the Amex Stadium less than 72 hours before this game kicks off.

Monaco were the joint-best team in Ligue 1 last season for BTTS Yes winners, with 22 of their 34 games seeing the bet land.

Both sides got off to winning starts, with Marseille beating Strasbourg 4-0 and Monaco winning 1-0 at Le Havre.

Monaco scored in 15 of 17 league home games last season, and secured Conference League qualification on Thursday evening with a 4-1 win over Gornik Zabrze.

They conceded in 12 of 17 home league games last term, while Marseille only managed four shut-outs in their 17 away trips.

Both sides will be looking to steal an early march on PSG in the league (both are two points ahead at this early stage), which should see both go for the win on Sunday evening.
