I’m keen to back Dunfermline to score at least once away at Arbroath in the Scottish Championship on Saturday. Although Neil Lennon’s side have been inconsistent in the second tier this season, they boast plenty of firepower, now boosted by January additions. Moreover, the Pars have found the net in 11 of their last 13 Championship assignments and have also carved a path to the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, most notably knocking out Hibernian along the way.
While 3rd-placed Arbroath have been the surprise package this season, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight league matches. That sequence began with a 2-1 win away at Dunfermline, and it’s also worth noting that the Pars racked up five goals when they visited Gayfield earlier in the campaign. With all that in mind, I think Arbroath may struggle to keep Dunfermline at bay on Saturday.
