The Mozambique international has established himself as a regular on the left side of Sunderland’s defence, and that should put him directly up against Ouattara this weekend.

Brentford like to utilise width when going forward, so Ouattara usually sees plenty of the ball, which bodes well for this selection.

Mamadou Sangare recorded one shot against Tottenham during Brentford’s convincing 3-0 victory in gameweek one, a match in which he really announced himself to the home support.

The Mali international provided the assist for Keane Lewis-Potter’s opener, but his numbers suggest he is usually willing to try his own luck.

Sangare might be listed as a defensive midfielder, but he averaged 1.97 shots per 90 for Lens in Ligue 1 last season.

Of his 51 attempts, 35 came from outside the penalty area, highlighting his confidence and ability to strike the ball cleanly from distance.

He also recorded 12 shots following corners and occasionally took direct free-kicks.

With Brentford expected to play on the front foot at the Gtech, there are several routes for Sangare to clear this modest line.

After his stellar World Cup campaign, Yoane Wissa has maintained that momentum at the start of the new Premier League season.

He feels almost like a new signing for the Magpies.

After a stuttering debut campaign at St James’ Park, Wissa has come into his element under Matthias Jaissle, and he found the net against Tottenham last time out.

This looks like a good matchup for him to continue his strong form, as Bournemouth have taken just one point from their opening two matches.

If City establish the same territorial dominance, Nico O’Reilly should have plenty of opportunities to push forward and arrive in dangerous areas.

He could also pose a threat from set pieces, given his height and aerial ability.
