Danny Welbeck has been the standout performer for Brighton this season, and this is currently his most prolific campaign in terms of finding the back of the net. The 35-year-old has scored 13 Premier League goals from 34 appearances this term, building on his tally of ten goals from the previous campaign. 

Welbeck contributed an assist against Newcastle last time out, as he played in Jack Hinshelwood to score Brighton’s only goal of the game, meaning he has landed this selection in five of his last nine appearances. 

This is an excellent matchup for Welbeck to improve that hit-rate even further, as Wolves come into this clash having already had their relegation confirmed. Rob Edwards' side have failed to win any of their last six matches across all competitions, and have conceded 14 goals in that stretch, which should fill Welbeck with confidence.

Brighton are still in the hunt for sixth place, and a win here against Wolves would potentially lift them up to sixth, assuming results elsewhere go their way. That should be more than enough motivation for Fabian Hurzeler's men, who have generally performed better on home turf this campaign. In fact, they have won eight out of 17 matches at the Amex Stadium this season, compared to just five on the road. 

Wolves’ fate is already secured, and they will be playing in the Championship next season, so they haven’t got as much to play for here. Rob Edwards’ men were unable to overcome a Sunderland side reduced to ten men last time out, meaning they have now failed to win any of their last six matches - four of those games have ended in defeat, and three of those to nil. 

Wolves boast the worst away record in the Premier League this season, with five draws and 12 losses from their 17 away games. The Old Gold have struggled to exert control on their away games this campaign, and because of that, they have had plenty of defending to do.

Wolves are averaging 2.77 cards per game on their travels, compared to 1.76 at Molineux. This selection has landed in eight of the last ten games for Wolves, which shows how consistently they have been getting into the referee's notebook.

This selection also landed in the reverse fixture, as Wolves were shown two yellow cards. However, the Seagulls have seen an uptick in opposition cards when playing at home, which bodes well for this bet. Brighton have forced at least two cards from their opponents in nine of the last 12 league games at the Amex.

Olivier Boscagli has seized his chance in the starting eleven for Brighton in recent weeks - he was initially given the opportunity to partner Jan Paul Van Hecke as Lewis Dunk was suspended. The French international performed well against Burnley in a 2-0 win, and he has started all three matches since. Boscagli has been fouled six times in that stretch, which shows how he usually has plenty of duels to contest. He is an intelligent defender who is comfortable on the ball, but one of his most underrated qualities is his ability to draw fouls when his side are under pressure. He goes to ground easily under contact to allow Brighton to establish a foothold in possession. 

Wolves rank top of the Premier League charts for total fouls committed this season, averaging 12.9 fouls per game. It is an excellent matchup for Boscagli to improve on his average of 0.92 fouls drawn per 90 this season. 

Jack Hinshelwood has been an underrated player for Brighton this season, operating in an advanced midfield zone. The 21-year-old scored Brighton’s only goal of the game against Newcastle last time out, as he linked up nicely with Danny Welbeck before firing into the top corner. Hinshelwood was unfortunate not to add one more to his tally, as he finished the game with a total of four shots - three hit the target, and he was also denied by the woodwork. He is always looking to pick up promising positions in the box, which makes this price stand out. 

The Englishman also found his way onto the scoresheet against Chelsea just before that - he had two shots in that match, and both hit the target. Hinshelwood should be full of confidence heading into this clash, and this is an excellent matchup for him to make it three goals in three games. 

Yerson Mosquera’s three shots against Sunderland last weekend took his average for the season to 1.2 efforts at goal per 90. The Colombian central defender has been a constant threat in the opposition box despite his side being rooted to the bottom of the table, and with seven shots in his last five away games, he clearly enjoys trips on the road.

The majority of Mosquera’s attempts have come from set pieces, an area from which Brighton are giving up 3.49 shots per game. The Seagulls are in contention for a top six finish but have struggled to keep opposing centre backs out in recent games, conceding four shots from them in their last two, including Dan Burn netting last time out.
