Kilmarnock look well placed to score at least once away at Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon. While Killie currently find themselves occupying the relegation play-off spot, they have looked much improved since appointing Neil McCann as manager. That was plain to see during last week's 3-2 loss to Celtic - despite their second half collapse, Kilmarnock performed well for long stages in that contest. Prior to that, McCann's men got the better of St Mirren with a 4-3 victory, and they’ve also recently swept aside Aberdeen 3-0, so they certainly appear to be heading in the right direction.
While Dundee United will have been boosted by last week's 3-2 win away at Falkirk, that victory also highlighted their defensive deficiencies. In fact, Jim Goodwin's side have now failed to keep a clean sheet in 22 of their 25 Scottish Premiership matches this season, a sample that includes each of their previous two meetings with Kilmarnock.
