Harrogate are showing signs of life at the foot of the table, having collected seven points from a possible nine in their last three games, four of which came against teams in the top seven. Their data is still not showing an improvement, though.
They won an even game against Cambridge, but were battered by Chesterfield 3.1 v 0.5 in the xG battle, and probably only found an equaliser due to the home side being reduced to 10 men. They then won 0-1 at Barrow on Tuesday evening, but again lost on xG 1.2 to 0.5, however, they were ahead from the 7th minutes, so game state may have played a part in that one.
I still think their opponents, Bromley, will be too strong. Andy Woodman’s side are the best away side in the division, picking up 30 points from 16 games, winning six of their last seven games on the road. They have shown signs in their last couple of outings that they are perhaps not the force they were a few weeks ago, but that is to be expected when they have had to reshuffle their defence during the transfer window.
The return of Omar Sowunmi from the bench will be a big plus, having scored six goals this season from centre back, and providing so much threat from set pieces.
