Hearts’ grip on top spot in the Scottish Premiership has been loosening for a number of weeks now, and I think this could be the weekend they are knocked off their perch. Derek McInnes’ side limped to a 3-1 win over Motherwell last time out, while in their last away match they were held to a 2-2 draw by bottom-of-the-table Livingston.
The Jambos’ recent away form makes for particularly worrying reading, suffering defeats at St Mirren, Rangers and Kilmarnock prior to that Livingston stalemate. They now face a major title test with a short trip across the capital to face arch-rivals Hibernian.
While David Gray’s side have been inconsistent this season, they have been extremely difficult to beat at Easter Road, as shown when they raced into a 3-0 lead against Hearts earlier in the campaign before eventually holding on for a 3-2 win. Moreover, Hibs have been beaten just twice at home in the Scottish Premiership this season and are undefeated in their last 9 matches at Easter Road, taking maximum points in 6 of those games, including that win over Hearts. Therefore, I think the hosts are worth siding with in the Draw No Bet market on Sunday.
