It’s worth keeping an eye out for Chicago Fire when it comes to goals in the MLS this season, they were routinely one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the division, with their away games in particular offering great promise for goals.
Chicago Fire saw a crazy 78 goals across their 17 away matches in the MLS last season, working out to an average of 4.58 goals per game. No side scored more goals than Chicago on the road (43) across both conferences in the MLS last season, though the 35 goals they conceded was also the joint worst defensive travelling record in the division.
Houston’s home games in the MLS last term were also very entertaining, with 50 goals across the 17 matches (2.94 per game). The most recent meeting between these sides took place back in 2024 and saw BTTS as Chicago ran out 2-1 winners over Houston. I’d expect action at both ends again here, given how often Chicago found themselves in end-to-end games on the road last campaign.
