This selection is down mainly to QPR’s fairly patchy recent record on the road, with the visitors having won only 4/16 away games all season, and none of their last seven in the Championship, a run stretching all the way back to late November, and a stodgy 1-0 victory at Blackburn.
Four of their last five road games have also ended in a draw, a result which we have onside with this selection. Whilst their hosts’ home record is about average (P16 W8 D3 L5 with a 0 goal difference), QPR really have struggled for goals on their travels, netting a paltry 14 to date, the joint 4th-fewest in the division.
With several key attackers still likely to be missing from this one, including Rumarn Burrell, Karamoko Dembele and Ilias Chair, as well as deep lying conductor Jonathan Varane, up against a Hull side probably only missing versatile midfielder Matt Crooks from their regulars, it’s likely to be an uphill battle to come away with anything from this one, let alone three points.
