Priced up at 5.0, I think Gerwyn Price offers terrific value to win this year's Australian Darts Masters. As already mentioned, ‘The Iceman’ was the last man standing in Wollongong last year, and he has been on a steep upward curve since then, particularly since the start of 2025. 

The Welshman was one of the standout performers in this year’s Premier League, securing a play-off spot with relative ease, delivering a couple of nine-dart finishes along the way. Since then, Price has taken top honours at the Polish Darts Masters, not to mention he picked up his ninth European title at the Baltic Sea Darts Open last month. 

While Price will have been disappointed to have exited the World Matchplay at the quarter-final stage, he produced a string of impressive performances in Blackpool, most notably averaging a shade under 109 in an 11-3 demolition of Chris Dobey.

The Iceman should ease himself into the tournament with a win over one of the unseeded players, and thereafter he will fancy his chances against anyone, particularly over what is a relatively short format.

On current form, Josh Rock looks well worthy of support to go all the way in Wollongong this weekend at an attractive 8.0. Touted as the next big thing when he won the World Youth Darts Championship in 2022, ‘Rocky’ now looks like he is starting to fulfil that potential. 

The Northern Irishman inspired his country to glory at the World Cup of Darts earlier this summer, producing a stunning individual performance in the final against Wales. The Antrim native has also enjoyed some notable deep runs in TV majors this year, reaching the semi-finals of both the UK Open and the World Matchplay. 

Rock’s seasonal statistics also make for really impressive reading, with his 99.04 average bettered only by Luke Littler (101.35) and Luke Humphries (99.16), while the Northern Irishman ranks 6th for 180s scored this year, crashing in 396 maximums to date. 

I also think Rock will be extra motivated to make his mark Down Under, given that this will be his World Series debut, and it is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that he picks up the prize.

Stephen Bunting has done a lot of best work in 2025 on the World Series stage, making him an attractive option to lift this year's Australian Darts Masters title at 12.0. ‘The Bullet’ bagged his maiden World Series title in Bahrain at the turn of the year, and he has since added the Nordic Darts Masters title to his trophy cabinet. It’s also worth noting that the St Helens star finished as runner-up at both the Dutch and Polish Darts Masters earlier this season, further highlighting his knack for enjoying deep runs in World Series events. 

What’s more, Bunting also claimed his first European title back in April, defeating Nathan Aspinall to lift the International Darts Open title in Germany. 

Thus, there's plenty of evidence to suggest that Bunting offers real value this weekend at 12.0, with the each-way option also worthy of consideration given the touch of insurance that it would provide.
