Germany arrive at their fifth Nations League outing of the season having already averaged 2.50 goals scored per game and when you consider the total average goals across their first four matches of the group phase, the figures increases to 3.25.

Germany’s first three matches in this season’s edition of the competition have finished with three or more total goals and only their recent 1-0 win over Netherlands did not reach this benchmark. In addition, Bosnia come into this game with a total goals per game average of 3.00.

In three of Germany’s first four Nations League games of the season, there have been less than 11.5 total corners registered. With tallies of six, five and seven being recorded in their wins over Hungary, Bosnia and the Netherlands respectively, the bar could have even been as low as 8.5 total corners.

However, we do also have to factor the corner count that Bosnia have recorded to date and with their first two Nations League games against the Netherlands and Hungary recorded 11 and 14 corners respectively, this is why we think 11 is a suitable total maximum to back on Saturday.

Across their first four Nations League games of this cycle, Germany have collected a total of eight cautions at an average of 2.00 per game and although this is below our chosen benchmark, it is Bosnia who we expect to help when it comes to the heavy lifting.

The reason for this is that Germany’s upcoming opponents average a total of three yellow cards themselves and with the hosts also averaging 16.5 tackles per game, that should give referee Vassilis Fotias plenty of opportunity to show his cards if required.

With current top scorer Denis Undav being made unavailable for this upcoming double of Nations League fixtures it should offer Tim Kleindienst the opportunity to once again lead the line for Germany.

The Borussia Monchengladbach forward may not have scored in this season’s edition of the Nations League but he has managed four Bundesliga goals in six appearances at the start of this season. In national team colours Kleindienst also averages 2.5 shots on goal per game.

Before Bosnia travel to Germany on Saturday, they will be aware of their hosts’ attacking prowess, which is signified by an average of 5.8 shots on target per game in this season’s Nations League.

Also, Julian Nagelsmann’s men have been consistent with the number of shots on target they record. A run of nine, five, four and five across their recent Nations League showing and even if they repeat the lowest point of that streak, it will be enough to declare this leg a winning one.

Germany always have plenty of options when it comes to scoring goals and with no Denis Undav to call upon this weekend, the focus is likely to shift to teammates such as Serge Gnabry – a player who is yet to open his Nations League account this season.

However, it must also be noted that Gnabry is no slouch when it comes to scoring for the German national team with a record of just under one goal every two appearances (22 goals from 47), the visit of Bosnia and Undav’s unavailability could serve as the perfect combination for the Bayern star.

With 250 Nations League minutes under his belt, Ermedim Demirovic has certainly made himself known to referees since the start of the season and with the Bosnian midfielder having given away an average of 2.30 fouls across three appearances, that statistic places him in Saturday’s spotlight.

The Stuttgart attacking midfielder likes to make a tackle but needs to improve his ability to do so. With just one tackle completed in total, it is the seven total fouls in this season’s Nations League that suggest he may attract the attention of referee Vassilis Fotias on at least one occasion.

With Demirovic’s ability to collect fouls already being highlighted, those fouls could just as easily be converted into a card at the same time. To go alongside the 2.30 average fouls recorded in the Nations League, the 26-year-old has also collected a pair of bookings in the competition.

This also doesvetails neatly with his ability to score goals. Although he has only scored a single goal in this season’s Nations League, his five goals for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, at an average of a goal every 106 minutes, serve as the perfect platform for this particular leg of the bet builder.
