Jaka Bijol has slotted in well to the Leeds backline as the central centre back in a back three, with the Slovenian winning a foul in each of his last two Premier League matches.

His duel with Igor Thiago really stands out to me here. Bijol is a man mountain and can deal with the aggression of even the most physical Premier League striker, making his duel against Thiago an appealing one to track throughout this contest.

Igor Thiago has netted 11 goals in the Premier League this season, but he’s been incredibly aggressive in registering this tally with 25 fouls committed across his 15 Premier League matches (1.84 per 90).

Thiago has committed 2+ fouls in eight of his 14 starts in the Premier League, his aggression has cooled a little in recent matches but the back three of Leeds should see a reigniting of that aggression we’ve seen so regularly from Thiago so far this season.

Bijol winning a foul in each of his last two Premier League matches coincides with the switch that Leeds have made to their shape with Daniel Farke now lining up the side in a 3-5-2. This tells me that Bijol is now the centre back most actively engaging with the opposition striker in this system, making him an ideal candidate to win a foul against a player as tenacious as Thiago.

An interesting angle to keep an eye on as well is Farke changing the Leeds shape if they are chasing the game. He took off Bijol for Tanaka in Leeds’ 3-3 draw against Liverpool in an effort to force the issue, proving effective with Tanaka getting the late equaliser - and offering an appealing option via super sub to win a foul.

There is real value with this election when backing with Bet365, the exact same pick is priced as low as 1.67 with other major bookmakers.
