Celtic will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Scottish Premiership when they face Falkirk on Wednesday night.
Martin O’Neill marked his return as interim manager by steering the Hoops to a comfortable 4-0 win over Dundee United on Saturday.
That victory, combined with other weekend results, means Celtic remain in 3rd place ahead of their trip to the Falkirk Stadium, three points behind Rangers and six points adrift of Hearts.
As for the hosts, they tightened their grip on 6th place in the table with a well-deserved 2-0 win away at St Mirren last time out.

📈 Falkirk v Celtic Form & Tactics
Falkirk have exceeded expectations in what is their first Scottish Premiership campaign in 15 years. After kicking off 2026 with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen, John McGlynn’s men backed that up with an impressive 2-0 victory over St Mirren on Saturday. That pair of wins has left the Bairns surveying the standings from the lofty heights of 6th place.
The hosts have conceded multiple goals in six of their seven Scottish Premiership defeats this season. However, it is also worth noting that Falkirk have kept a clean sheet in five of their eight top-flight triumphs this term, including each of their last four.
Falkirk have conceded the opening goal in 12 of their 21 Scottish Premiership matches this season, including six of their ten fixtures in front of their own supporters.
The Bairns have made the net bulge in eight of their ten league games at home this season.
After parting company with Wilfried Nancy last week, Celtic turned once again to Martin O’Neill, drafting the club legend back in as interim boss for the second time this season. O’Neill immediately picked up where he left off, guiding the Hoops to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Dundee United on Saturday.
The win, coupled with O’Neill’s return, has injected much-needed belief into a side that had been all at sea throughout Nancy’s ill-fated tenure. It was also notable to see O’Neill restore the familiar 4-3-3 formation, a system Celtic have always appeared far more at ease with.
Saturday’s result also yielded Celtic’s first clean sheet in eight outings, with their last shutout also arriving during O’Neill’s brief caretaker spell against Dundee last month.
No team has averaged more corners per game than Celtic (6.95) in the Scottish Premiership this season.
