The 1-3 Cleveland Browns travel to London on Sunday to face a Minnesota Vikings team that was narrowly defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL’s first ever Dublin game. It promises to be an interesting clash between a backup quarterback and a rookie quarterback, and two strong defenses.

Check out my 4/1 bet builder for the first London game of the season.

4 Selections @ 4.41

Quinshon Judkins 60+ Rushing Yards @ 1.36

The Browns might have a star in Quinshon Judkins. In his two games as a starter, the rookie has 39 carries for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and is averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Since joining the team late, Judkins’ snap share has increased each week. His usage has begun to dwarf that of fellow running backs Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson, who combined for just two carries against the Lions last week.

The Vikings are a middle-of-the-road run defence, but they were gashed by Kenneth Gainwell in Dublin to the tune of 99 yards and two touchdowns. A big appeal of Judkins this week is a potential spike in volume as the Browns made the switch to rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel. He won’t be trusted to throw the ball at the same rate that veteran Joe Flacco did, so I expect to see a lot of Judkins here.

Dillon Gabriel 10+ Rushing Yards @ 1.40

A fascinating storyline in this game is the debut of rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who was a third round pick out of Oregon. He’s not being thrust into the most appealing of situations as the Browns have the 30th ranked pass blocking unit in the NFL, out of 32 teams, according to Pro Football Focus. He also has to face a Vikings defence that is allowing the third-fewest passing yards per game (151.5) and passing touchdowns this season (3).

Defensive mastermind Brian Flores has called a blitz on 37.4% of his team’s defensive plays this season, which is the third-highest rate in the NFL, and the Vikings have 11 sacks this season. Everything points to a game where Gabriel is running for his life behind a porous offensive line, and some of that scrambling will turn into positive rushing yardage.

Harold Fannin 15+ Receiving Yards @ 1.25

A lot of the reasons to like Harold Fannin’s receiving yardage lines this week stem from the same logic as the Dillon Gabriel rushing yards bet. There’s a perfect storm this week between a dreadful Browns offensive line, which ranks as the third-worst pass-blocking unit in the league, and the Vikings' stellar pass rush, which has managed 11 sacks in four games. This won’t be a pretty game for rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, and he’ll have to get the ball out quick.

Harold Fannin will look to be Gabriel’s safety blanket whenever he’s pressured, and the young quarterback had a lot of success throwing to the middle of the field in college. Fannin has seen extensive slot usage this season and has topped 20 receiving yards in every game of his rookie season so far. Fellow tight end David Njoku has been limited in practice this week with a knee injury, and Fannin was already overtaking the veteran in terms of snaps.

Justin Jefferson 60+ Receiving Yards @ 1.50

The Vikings are in for a tough afternoon in London against a Browns defence that allows the fewest yards per game and yards per play in the entire NFL. They also have an injury-riddled offensive line and face off against one of the best in the business in Myles Garrett. Having said that, Cleveland’s real strength is stopping the run. They allow a remarkable -0.14 rushing yards before contact.

As a result, we’re looking to Justin Jefferson to be the main man for the Vikings in London. He went nuclear with 10 receptions for 126 yards against the Steelers in Dublin, and now faces a Browns defence that has allowed a couple of big games through the air to other wide receivers. Amon-Ra St. Brown finished with 70 yards and two touchdowns against them last week, while Zay Flowers had 75 yards in week two. Jefferson has gone over the 60-yard mark in three of four games this season and should do so again here as the Vikings lean on their star player.
