Ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, we've collated our top picks for this year's Golden Boot Winner.
Erling Haaland to Win the Golden Boot
It feels like Erling Haaland hasn’t had that impressive of a season this year, but he’s still ended up with 31 goals across 44 appearances in all competitions for Man City. An injury disrupted his rhythm halfway through the season, but Haaland was particularly clinical in the Champions League, scoring eight goals across his nine appearances.
City lifted this trophy back in 2023; it has undergone a massive change since that edition, with a longer format and more European teams competing. Haaland should be able to get a decent head start in the goal count on his golden boot rivals with City playing against Wydad Casablanca and Al-Ain during the group stages.
City should go quite deep in this competition, which increases the chances of Erling Haaland picking up the Golden Boot award. Only Real Madrid are priced shorter to lift the Club World Cup than City ahead of the tournament and there is plenty of value in Haaland to lead the scoring charts at 7/1.
Harry Kane to Win the Golden Boot
Harry Kane picked up the first-ever trophy of his professional career when Bayern Munich lifted the Bundesliga title, reclaiming the trophy from Bayer Leverkusen, who had managed to break Bayern’s decade of dominance in the German top flight.
Kane scored 26 goals across 31 Bundesliga appearances to secure the league title, scoring 38 goals across 46 appearances in all competitions overall. He’s on penalties for Bayern and will be eager to add another trophy to his collection now that he’s had a taste of it.
Vincent Kompany’s side are very forward-thinking, and while their backline may not be secure enough to go all the way in this competition, their attacking ability can cause opposition sides problems, with Kane the main man to look at for Bayern when it comes to goals. Kane scored 11 goals across his 13 Champions League appearances this season, he’s more than capable of finding the back of the net regularly against this standard of competition.
Kylian Mbappe to win the Golden Boot

Mbappe will be eager to claim some silverware in his first season with Real Madrid as Los Blancos face the prospect of ending the campaign without a trophy, having missed out on La Liga and the Copa Del Rey to Barcelona, as well as being knocked out of the Champions League by Arsenal.
There hasn’t been too much wrong with Mbappe’s individual season; he’s scored 43 goals across his 56 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid, but the overall side hasn’t managed to click, especially in attacking areas. The appointment of Xabi Alonso should restore some balance to the Madrid attack, with Mbappe poised to continue his superb goalscoring record for Los Blancos this season.
Mbappe comes into this tournament with some serious momentum; he’s scored in each of his last six matches, with this run returning 10 goals. He’ll be wanting to impress Xabi Alonso, who is likely to platform Mbappe even more effectively than Carlo Ancelotti, which should spell a successful Club World Cup campaign for the Frenchman.
Serhou Guirassy to win the Golden Boot

Add Serhou Guirassy to your Paddy Power Betslip below
Serhou Guirassy finished the Champions League campaign as the joint top scorer with 13 goals alongside Raphinha, despite Dortmund exiting the competition at the quarter-final stage.
It’s likely that the quarter-finals are the ceiling for Dortmund in this competition as well, given the other teams competing for the trophy, but Guirassy has shown that he can still be impactful even if his side isn’t in the discussion when we reach the latter stages of the competition. Guirassy comes into this tournament having scored in each of his last six games, including a hat-trick against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Guirassy scored 34 goals across his 45 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund, which is an excellent record that builds on the 30 goals he scored for Stuttgart in the season before. Dortmund ended the season strongly after a poor start to the campaign and can carry that momentum into the Club World Cup, while Guirassy looks a great each-way option at 18/1.
