Max Holloway to Win by KO/TKO & Over 2.5 Rounds

Whilst I believe Holloway is the clear favourite for this one, I expect McGregor to come out strong in the opening exchanges.

Despite the five-year lay-off, McGregor is usually a strong start in fights, even ones he has lost. Look to his historic title defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov back at UFC229. McGregor started strong and actually won a round against the undefeated 'Eagle'.

Holloway is not a one-punch KO fighter, and usually breaks his opponents down with technical striking and an excellent. McGregor, however, has had a suspect gas-tank in his career.

I can foresee a scenario in which McGregor wins Round 1 on the judges' scorecards, until Holloway kicks into gear and finds the Irishman's chin.

Holloway has been the more active fighter in recent years, and I expect him to slowly break McGregor down before dispatching of him in the later rounds.
