Ahead of the big one at Epsom, our leading horse racing expert, Dave Revers, has been studying this season’s form and has examined the best three ante-post predictions from across the field. If you like these predictions, you can also check out Dave's Epsom Derby Ante-Post Tips.

Fixtures for: Friday 6th June

Giselle E/W

GISELLE appears to be Aidan O’Brien’s number one chance in the second fillies classic of the season in the UK. The beautifully-bred daughter of Frankel is a love contender, following an effortless nine-length victory in the Lingfield Oaks Trial Stakes.

She beat a pair of inferior rivals but it was the manner in which she strode clear, over the extended 1m3f distance, which impressed. Connections would have been thrilled at how she powered clear that day, on a downhill track, which has some similarities to the idiosyncratic nature of the famous Epsom course.

Whirl E/W

WHIRL created a strong impression when landing the G3 Musidora Stakes at York by a wide margin. The five-and-a-half-length success was by far the best effort in her career, which coincided with the rise to an extended 1m2f distance. The further they went, the better the daughter of Wootton Bassett looked - striding clear of her rivals in the final furlong.

Connections were keen to point out that she may head to the G1 Prix de Diane at Chantilly over the same distance as York - therefore it is a positive that she lines up at Epsom over the 1m4f journey. She is a gutsy type, who was more tenacious that Giselle when beating her last season, and would be the one to side with if this turned into a battle.

Revoir E/W

Despite her relative inexperience, REVOIR could run a mighty race for each-way players, for trainer Ralph Beckett. She was a ready Nottingham maiden winner on soft ground, prior to an excellent runner-up position (behind Qilin Queen) in a Newbury Listed event over 1m2f last month.

She is firmly expected to reverse form and improve considerably for the rise in trip. There is a good blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree - she is a half-sister to 7f Group Three winner Remarquee, and her dam is a half-sister to Group One scorer over an extended 1m7f, Scope, out of a winning half-sister to Epsom Oaks winner Look Here.
