Brown has committed a foul in both of his Champions League appearances so far this season against Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid. He lined up as a left back in both games, though he can be deployed a bit further up the pitch as well. He received a yellow card in Frankfurt’s 5-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid in their most recent Champions League assignment, contesting 12 duels and making five tackles.

Brown is averaging 0.97 fouls committed per 90 in the Bundesliga across his seven appearances. He was deployed in a more advanced role for Frankfurt’s 2-2 draw against Freiburg last time out and was forced into making six tackles and committing two fouls, from 14 duels in total. These numbers suggest that Brown can still be in line to commit a foul even if he is deployed in a slightly more advanced position, as was the case in Frankfurt’s most recent game.

He’ll be lining up against Conor Bradley and Mohamed Salah down Liverpool’s right hand side and the duo are bound to cause Brown problems. Salah has won seven fouls across his eight Premier League appearances this term (0.88 per 90) as well as winning two fouls in the Champions League across just 118 minutes of action.

Bradley has also shown promise when it comes to winning fouls, being hauled down seven times across just four Premier League starts (2.12 per 90). Bradley has a physical advantage on Brown so he should be able to come out on top in the various duels that the pair contest in this Champions League clash.
