Hoffenheim v Stuttgart
🏟
Friday 25th February – 7:30PM KO
Hoffenheim welcome Stuttgart to the Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Friday night to kick off this weekend’s Bundesliga action and there’s no doubt that Sebastian Hoeneß’s side will be confident of picking up all three points.
Friday’s hosts will be full of belief off the back of a strong 2-1 win over Wolfsburg last weekend, as well as an impressive home record that has seen the team not only win seven of their 11 home games in the Bundesliga this season but be winning at half time and full time in six of their last eight matches in front of their own fans.
If that wasn’t convincing enough, then Hoffenheim will also be looking to pour further misery on a Stuttgart team that have only picked up one league win on the road this season and lost three of their last four away games.
Indeed, the odds look extremely stacked against Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side on Friday, especially when we take into account that they’ll be without important forwards Silas and Tanguy Coulibaly for the trip to Hoffenheim.
Few hold much hope for Stuttgart avoiding the drop this season and there’s little doubt that Hoffenheim should expect one of the easiest home ties they’ve faced in the Bundesliga so far this season.

Union Berlin v Mainz
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 2:30PM KO
There’s no doubt that Union Berlin’s season has somewhat stalled after the departure of star striker Max Kruse for Wolfsburg.
Since the turn of the year, Urs Fischer’s side have picked up just two wins from five games and crucially the capital side have really struggled for goals. In that same period of time, Union have managed to bag just four and have failed to find the back of the net in their last three Bundesliga games entirely.
That, undoubtedly, is down to Kruse’s departure but Union already had a tendency to keep score lines low at the old Stadion An der Alten Försterei, where they’ve only managed to bag 14 from 11 games – the fourth worst return in the league.
Fortunately for the stumbling hosts, they face a Mainz side on Saturday that have been just as troubled in their away games this season. Despite impressive wins over Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim at home lately, Bo Svensson’s side have still only managed two wins from 11 away games this season.
Similarly to Union, Mainz struggle to find the back of the net in their endeavours on the road and have to date scored just 10 goals in 11 away games. As such, we should expect a tight affair on Saturday but also a clash that won’t exactly welcome a lot of goals.

Bayer Leverkusen v Arminia Bielefeld
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 2:30PM KO
In typical fashion, Bayer Leverkusen slipped up just when they were looking as strong as ever last weekend when they lost 3-2 to Mainz. However, as expected, the team still managed to score two goals.
Indeed, it seems as though Leverkusen are simply incapable of not finding the back of the net in just about every Bundesliga clash they take part in. Even if those goals don’t actually lead to the team winning the game.
So far this season Gerardo Seoane’s side have scored a remarkable 60 goals in 23 games and average no less than 2.6 per league game. At home, that figure rises even further to 2.72 goals scored per game, following 30 goals bagged from 11 matches at the Bay Arena.
Arminia Bielefeld are undoubtedly a stubborn, defensive team and will be hoping to frustrate their hosts by maintaining an away record that has seen Frank Kramer’s side concede just 13 goals from 11 away matches this season.
However, as good as Arminia have been, they’ll likely struggle to stop Leverkusen from scoring on Saturday. Even if they may actually end up stealing a point from their opponents on the day.

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals, 1.45 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Borussia Monchengladbach v Wolfsburg
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 2:30PM KO
Borussia Monchengladbach were absolutely dreadful last weekend when they were well and truly thumped 6-0 by Borussia Dortmund and there’s every chance that Wolfsburg will simply pour more misery on Adi Hutter’s struggling side at Borussia Park on Saturday.
Gladbach did manage to pick up a win over Augsburg in their last home clash in the German top-flight, but they also lost the five games before that in front of their own fans. And, crucially, they conceded 18 goals across those six games.
Indeed, the Foals have the third worst defensive record in home games across the Bundesliga this season and there’s every possibility that they’ll continue shipping goals when they face a slightly improved Wolfsburg this weekend.
Florian Kohfeldt’s Wolves have won two of their last three games and scored no less than eight goals along the way, suggesting that the young head coach may have finally turned a corner with his new club.
However, what should be of far more interesting is the fact that Wolfsburg’s away games have averaged 2.63 goals per match this season. And while this result may be too tricky to call, we should certainly expect goals

Greuther Furth v Koln
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 2:30PM KO
There’s no doubt that Greuther Furth have shown signs of life since the turn of the year, with no less than two wins and two draws from their first six games of the year and on Saturday they’ll be hoping to pick up more points against FC Koln.
Over the course of those games, Stefan Leitl’s side have found their shooting boots, with no less than eight goals, while conceding 12 along the way too. And in general, Furth have tended to score and ship goals in equal measure in front of their home fans this season, with an average of 2.54 goals per game between both sides.
However, standing in Furth’s path of further success will be an FC Koln side that are also well acquainted with scoring goals lately and there’s little doubt that Steffen Baumgart’s side will be determined to put a few past their hosts on Saturday in their quest to finish in a European spot this season.
Not only have Koln bagged 15 goals from 11 away games this season, but they also have a red-hot goalscorer in the form of Anthony Modeste, who now has seven goals from his last seven games in the Bundesliga. This clash could end up going either way, but it’ll certainly be an open game.

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals, 1.60 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Freiburg v Hertha Berlin
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 2:30PM KO
After a notable wobble towards the end of 2021, Christian Streich’s Freiburg side have managed to get themselves back on track with just two defeats from six Bundesliga games in 2022 and they’ll be hoping to continue that good run when they welcome Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Indeed, the Black Forest side have been especially impressive at home this season, having picked up five wins, four draws and just two defeats at the Europa-Park Stadion. And it’s that record which should come to define Saturday’s clash.
Despite their best efforts, Hertha Berlin continue to look truly hopeless under interim head coach Tayfun Korkut, who has managed just two wins from his first 10 league games in charge of the capital club. And most worrying of all for Hertha, their away form has continued to drag them down the league table, with just two wins from 11 games on the road and a winless run that now stretches to six games.
The German top flight can often be wildly unpredictable but in this case we can certainly expect an in-form Freiburg team to make short work of their guests on Saturday afternoon. It may be a tight affair, but a home win seems certain from this one.

Prediction: Freiburg to Win, 1.62 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Eintract Frankfurt v Bayern Munich
🏟
Saturday 26th February – 5:30PM KO
Bayern Munich typically don’t fear any side in the Bundesliga but Eintracht Frankfurt are certainly one club that continue to be a thorn in their side. Over the course of the last six matches between the two sides, the Eagles have won three of them and will be hoping to once again upset the odds when they welcome their Bavarian giants on Saturday.
However, standing in their way will be Julian Nagelsmann’s side, who remain hell-bent on getting their own form back on track after a recent defeat to Bochum and a draw with RB Salzburg in the Champions League. As such, we should expect to see two teams attack from the first whistle.
Indeed, there have been over 2.5 goals in each of the last 11 games between these two sides in all competitions and so far this season Bayern’s games on the road have averaged no less than a massive 4.72 goals per match.
When we couple that with the fact that Frankfurt have seen on average 2.63 goals per home game this season, this late fixture on Saturday certainly seems to be gearing up as a game that should see both sides bag a few goals.
