Fulham v Wolves
📅
Kick Off: Saturday 23rd November at 15:00
🏆
Competition: Premier League
Fulham host Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, with Marco Silva’s side seeking a third successive victory.
While the hosts have enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, their guests find themselves deep in relegation trouble, having won just one of their first 11 matches of the season.
A home win could propel Fulham as high as third, while defeat may see the end of Gary O’Neil at Wolves. There is a great deal riding on this Craven Cottage clash.
⭐ Fulham v Wolves Best Bets
Wolves are not short of an attacking threat, and much of that owes to the threat carried by Cunha. The attacker is joint first in Gary O’Neil’s squad with 11 shots on target in the Premier League this season, with 1.12 per 90. He has had shots on target in seven of his ten outings in the competition thus far.
The Brazilian’s chance of getting a shot on target are multiplied by a high shot count. He has had 31 shots in total – more than twice the number of any other Wolves player.
Last season he scored at Craven Cottage in a 3-2 defeat.

👕 Fulham v Wolves Predicted XI
🔍 Fulham v Wolves Players to Watch
⚪️ Alex Iwobi
Judging by his performances last season, Alex Iwobi loves playing Wolves. Across the two Premier League fixtures, he had eight shots against the side from the Black Country, with five of those hitting the target. He scored in both matches between the clubs last season.
Iwobi’s figures this season remain healthy, with 0.76 shots on target per 90. This, however, masks the fact that he is on a run of three successive Premier League games in which he has had a shot on target at least once.
⚪️ Kenny Tete
Fulham right-back Kenny Tete has a curious habit of picking up fouls in multiples of two, never giving just one away in a single game.
Tete has committed at least two fouls in two of his last three, as well as in six of his 11 Premier League matches this season.
He is very likely to play the full duration of this game. He has been replaced only twice this season and was not away on international duty.
🟠 Rayan Ait-Nouri
Wolves wing-back Ait-Nouri looks a big price to commit at least one foul given he posts 1.57 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season.
The 23-year-old has played almost every minute for Gary O’Neil’s side this season and has committed at least one foul in nine of his 11 Premier League outings.
His price of 3.1 to commit at least two fouls looks big given he has done so seven times in 11 games already this term.
He could be up against Fulham’s leading foul winner, Adama Traore (2.0 fouls drawn per 90), if he moves back into a deeper role having played on the wing last time out.

💻 Wolves v Fulham Form and Tactics
Fulham have quietly been one of the success stories of the Premier League this season as they sit seventh in the table. Marco Silva’s side have won each of their last two in the league, overcoming Crystal Palace and Brentford.
What is most eye-catching about the Cottagers this season has been the sheer consistency of their performance. Since losing 2-1 to Manchester United on the opening day of the season, they have had a greater xG than their opponents in every single Premier League outing. Indeed, the fact that they are underperforming their xG this season suggests they can hope to climb even higher.
They are a team that likes to impose their game onto their opponents, having enjoyed more than 50% possession in eight of 11 league outings. In each of the last three – against Everton, Brentford and Crystal Palace – they have had at least 60% of the ball.
Equally, Fulham are a side that want to exploit the wide areas and are slick in transition when they choose to be. No team has mustered more than their 29 completed crosses, with left-back Antonee Robinson the key figure in this regard with ten.
Although Andreas Pereira boasts 6.15 shot-creating actions per 90, around 40% of those come from set-pieces. From open play passes, Adama Traore (3.63 per 90) and Alex Iwobi (3.81) are the key catalysts, with summer addition Emile Smith Rowe (2.95) not far behind.
Fulham have multiple offensive threats rather than one overwhelming danger, with eight players already in double figures for shots. Raul Jimenez is their leading Premier League marksman on four goals, 0.54 per 90.

Wolves’ campaign has been awful, although five points from their last three games point to better times ahead. Furthermore, the fixture list has been rough. In their first 11 matches of the season, they have played eight teams currently ranked ninth or higher.
However, the fact that they have outperformed their xG in each of their last seven Premier League games is somewhat worrying given results. Indeed, Wolves lie second from bottom despite scoring 4.5 goals more than their xG for the season – the biggest positive differential in the whole league. Finishing is an area they need to sharpen up.
At least chances are coming, with Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri the main creative forces in a side that likes to attack from wide.
Defensively, though, Wolves have been awful. With 27 goals conceded, they are the worst team in the league in this regard.
Goalkeeper Jose Sa is not helping. With -3.1 PSxG (post-shot expected goals), his record is the second poorest in the league, with only West Ham’s Alphonse Areola worse. Sam Johnstone has also had a stint with the gloves but was posting -1.4 PSxG, which puts him sixth poorest.
Wolves’ weakness from crosses is something that Fulham will look to exploit.
