The Liverpool transfer odds have been very interesting to keep an eye on so far this summer. They have been involved in a lot of transfer activity already. It was always going to be a case of rebuilding the midfield for Liverpool this summer.
Last season it was undoubtedly their biggest problem area. This has come down to previously top players ageing, injuries and an overall drop in quality. It had been a while since Liverpool had last invested in a first team midfielder and in some cases they had to look to the less experienced players such as Stefan Bajcetic and Curtis Jones. The pair have both been brilliant in spells but it was clear that they need some reinforcements.
So far this summer they have signed two attacking midfielders in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton in a £35 million deal and Dominik Szbozsolai from RB Leipzig for £65m. Both of these players play their football either as an 8 or a 10. They will be able to play alongside one another if Klopp wants them too.
It has been reported in the past few days that two more midfielders could be on their way out of Liverpool. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both look set for moves to Saudi Arabia. This would leave Liverpool in need of at least one more midfielder before the season starts. Let’s take a look at the Liverpool transfer odds and see if there is any betting value.

Lavia Liverpool bound?
Romeo Lavia has been the subject of huge transfer speculation not only this summer but since it was official that Southampton were facing the drop. He was one of the few bright sparks for the Saints last season and thus has attracted interest from almost all of England’s elite clubs. Lavia is an out-and-out defensive midfielder, a pure number 6. An archetype we don’t tend to see enough of coming through in this generation.
We see far more number 8s and 10s emerge rather than defensive players who are equally as important. Lavia is in the high percentiles for a lot of defensive stats, particularly blocking. He is very good with his feet and can contribute to chance creation further up the pitch and at just 19 years old he has immense potential to improve even further. He is in no way the finished article and is definitely one for the future.
If he works out how many expect him to, he will be a top-quality holding midfielder for the next decade. Southampton’s relegation has meant that he has become available for a bit of a cut price. The Saints asking price is £45 million. Which is still a hell of a lot for a teenager but when it’s someone with the potential of Lavia, we can just about understand.
Lavia is currently the player with the highest chance of being the latest Red according to the Liverpool transfer odds. Klopp’s side are 1.53 to sign the Belgian with Arsenal following behind at 3.75. We see this transfer as very likely to happen.
Could Chiesa be heading to the Premier League?
Next up is one on the less likely side, Federico Chiesa. He is currently 8.0 to join Liverpool and 2.75 to join Newcastle. Chiesa is a very good winger who would offer depth to Liverpool. Luis Diaz is almost guaranteed to suffer an injury at some stage and Darwin Nunez can also be a tad injury prone in places.
Chiesa appears to be looking for a way out of Juventus, he joined the club when they had the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala in the side with Chiellini, Bonucci, and De Ligt holding down the fort in defence. It was a much more attractive outfit. Last season Juve were a Europa League club and thanks to financial breaches they won’t even be playing in Europe next season.
He is actually quite high up in the overall Liverpool transfer odds for probability. This is the sort of transfer that could build pace very quickly, one tweet from Fabrizio Romano, and the odds could be slashed to 2.5 or lower, so getting on this at the price of 8.0 could prove to be a shrewd move.
Kylian Mbappe to swap Paris for Merseyside?
We have discussed Kylian Mbappe’s transfer odds plenty of times already at Andy’s Bet Club this summer. He is without a doubt one of the biggest stories of the summer. It feels like anything can happen with this one, no scenario seems truly nailed on.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelafi has made it clear that Mbappe either signs a new deal or is sold to the highest bidder. PSG are refusing to let their star man leave on a free transfer and we can understand why, Mbappe has some of the highest stocks in football history, and letting him leave at 24 years of age on a free transfer would be unheard of.
The three top contenders to sign the Frenchman are Real Madrid (1.44), Manchester United (17.0), and Liverpool (21.0). It has been reported that Liverpool are willing to break the all-time transfer record to bring the Parisian to Anfield.
