Doku has shown signs in the early parts of the season that he’s maturing as a player and improving his end product. He’s registered four goal contributions across his eight appearances in all competitions with four shots across his 374 minutes of football this season (0.96 per 90).

This is not the most appealing shot average but I can see it rising here, Doku had three of these shots in his only full 90 minutes of the season so far which was against Burnley. The Clarets set up in a low block in that game which is what we can expect from Brentford here with Doku willing to break those deep lines by coming in from the touchline to get shots away.

Doku also had two shots and scored in City’s 2-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League a few weeks ago. He’s started the season as one of City’s most impressive players and can have a hand in the shot count for the away side here with the bookmakers expecting Guardiola’s side to have around 16/17 shots this game.

Doku averaged 1.73 shots per 90 across his 29 Premier League appearances last season with this tally producing three goals. He should be able to improve on that goal haul this season with Doku looking like a more polished player so far.
