Michael van Gerwen will look to continue his march towards a fourth world title by getting the better of Jeffrey de Graaf on Monday night. The Dutch destroyer should get the job done here and he is more than capable of hitting at least 6 180s on his way to victory.

While van Gerwen blew hot and cold against Brendan Dolan in round three, he was extremely effective on the treble 20 bed. ‘The Green Machine’ produced no fewer than 10 maximums in his most recent outing with Dolan, while he managed 5 180s over a shorter format during his round two success against James Hurrell.

What’s more, MVG comfortably covered the 6+ 180 line at this stage of the competition 12 months ago when landing 9 maximums against Stephen Bunting.

Alongside 6 or more 180s, look for van Gerwen to deliver at least one 100+ checkout against de Graaf. The Dutchman took out a 129 and a 149 when dispatching Dolan in round three. He also checked out on 100 and 120 when taking care of James Hurrell in round two. Thus, van Gerwen looks well placed to unfurl another three figure outshot against de Graaf in round four.
