🚀 Stefan Posch to have 1+ shots 🔄️
📈 Odds: 1.57
Stefan Posch has played every available minute for Austria at the Euros, in spite of Ralf Rangnick opting for some defensive rotation. The Bologna right back racked up four shots against Poland, three of which were on target – extending his streak to seven consecutive games with an attempt at goal.
Posch is a set piece target, and his only goal domestically this season was from a corner. Against Poland, he also managed a shot on target from a pinpoint Marcel Sabitzer delivery. That effort was worth 0.06 xG, the highest of his four shots in Berlin, with the other three attempts being speculative longshots. Posch also shot from distance against France, accounting for one of the six attempts from Austria in that game.
🛑 Kevin Danso to commit 1+ fouls 🔄️
📈 Odds: 1.25
Kevin Danso epitomises the Rangnick system perfectly – an extremely aggressive centre back who gets as tight as physically possible to the opposition striker. Against France, he made three fouls and was booked. Prior to that, Danso made two fouls in each friendly game against Serbia, Turkey and Slovakia, respectively.
Danso was replaced by Gernot Trauner against Poland, potentially due to his yellow card, but an injury to the Feyenoord captain led to Danso appearing off the bench against the Poles for 30 minutes. In that time, he made one foul.
The Lens centre back will likely have duels against Memphis Depay, who drew two fouls against Poland, and one against France. Similarly, Wout Weghorst has played just 20 minutes across the two games so far, but has drawn two fouls. Both are good matchups for Danso to extend his run of fouls.
🎯 Christoph Baumgartner to have 1+ shots on target 🔄️
📈 Odds: 1.73
Christoph Baumgartner missed two big chances against France, denied by Mike Maignan on both occasions. To his credit, he was able to atone for his mistakes and get on the scoresheet against Poland. His goal in the 66th minute gave Austria the lead, before Arnautovic sealed the points from the spot.
Baumgartner has managed a shot on target in both Euro 2024 games so far, including two against France. Prior to the Euros starting, the RB Leipzig midfielder had a shot on target in five straight friendly fixtures, all of which were against nations who qualified for the Euros.
He is able to play an extremely attacking role under Rangnick, as Sabitzer is the primary playmaker. It allows Baumgartner to play off the striker, which worked to his advantage against Poland. An Arnautovic dummy opened up the space for Baumgartner at the edge of the box to score.

🛑 Stefan Posch to commit 2+ fouls
📈 Odds: 2.30
Circling back to the Austria right back, Stefan Posch made four fouls against Poland, and two against France. He could have had more against Les Bleus, but the referee played advantage on a couple of occasions. When Posch has played at least 45 minutes, he has made two fouls or more in each of his last six appearances for Austria.
He is set for a tough matchup against Cody Gakpo, arguably Netherlands’ best performer thus far in the competition. The Liverpool winger failed to draw a foul against France, although his opposing right back was Jules Kounde, who has an average of just 0.29 fouls per game since the end of the 2022 World Cup for France. Gakpo drew four fouls against Poland, and should see a lot of the ball, given his good form. Posch is poised for a busy night in Berlin.
🛑 Virgil van Dijk to commit 1+ fouls 🔄️
📈 Odds: 1.91
With Teun Koopmeiners and Frenkie de Jong out for Netherlands, Virgil van Dijk has shown a bit more of a willingness to stay tight on the opposition forward, looking to win the ball back with a tackle. Alongside Stefan de Vrij, he has more licence to be aggressive, reflected in his duels stats – he has made at least one foul in both games so far at the Euros.
Marko Arnautovic is not a player to shirk a duel, as he drew three fouls against Poland – the matchup between him and van Dijk is certainly one to keep an eye on. Given the slight tweak in system, van Dijk fouls seems a market to target, especially given that the Dutch are set to dominate proceedings, which would see van Dijk positioned around the halfway line.
🧤 Netherlands goalkeeper to make 3+ saves
📈 Odds: 2.10
Austria have been impressive going forward, and got their rewards in netting three times against Poland. Marko Arnautovic slotted perfectly in alongside Baumgartner and Sabitzer to help overcome Poland. The scoreline could have been more, if not for the six saves made by goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Bart Verbruggen has had a busy tournament so far, with six saves against Poland, and three saves against France last game. Austria certainly have the attacking prowess to exploit any inefficiencies at the back, meaning Verbruggen can expect to be called into action.
