Netherlands faced Poland without their captain Lewandowski in round one, and will now face France without their captain, Kylian Mbappe, in the second round of fixtures. Manager Ronald Koeman will be hoping to capitalise on such good fortune and perhaps steal top spot in this group.
Netherlands v France Best Bets
Rabiot was given the nod by Deschamps, and he was tidy against Austria. Against the Netherlands, he is expected to be tasked with a much more difficult battle in midfield. He should primarily duel against Xavi Simons, a player who likes to operate centrally and invert into the half-spaces from wide.
Simons is an extremely technical player, difficult to contain, so is a magnet for drawing fouls. For the Dutch this season, he is drawing 1.42 fouls per game – amongst the highest in the team. Given that Rabiot made two fouls against Austria, and has made a foul in each of his last six consecutive games for Les Bleus, Rabiot being available at this price looks like a great, low-risk addition to any bet builder.
With Mbappe ruled out of this clash, Griezmann is expected to take up the attacking responsibility. The Atletico Madrid man has accumulated the second-most shots for France this season behind Mbappe and had two shots against Austria. Griezmann to have two or more shots looks an excellent price.

⚔️ Netherlands v France Head-to-Head
Koeman and Didier Deschamps should be familiar with one another, having been pitted in the same Euro qualifying group.
France had the upper hand in both contests, emerging with a 4-0 win in Paris, before a 2-1 victory in Amsterdam. Mbappe was on the money with a brace in both games and his presence will be sorely missed here for Les Blues.
📊 Netherlands Form and Stats
Building up to the Euros, the Netherlands looked assured in back-to-back 4-0 successes over Canada and Luxembourg. Koeman put to bed any doubts that may have existed before – the Dutch were wholly convincing in their performances despite fielding some of their fringe players.
They transferred that confidence over to Hamburg, coming from behind to beat Poland 2-1. Cody Gakpo looked particularly sharp early on, before being rewarded with a goal thanks to a deflected long-range effort.
A lot of credit deserves to go to Nathan Ake, who cleverly intercepted the ball and laid it off to Gakpo to set up the goal. The Man City man went on to set up the eventual winner, poking the ball through to Wout Weghorst, who sealed the result late on.
Memphis Depay received criticism for his attacking inefficiency, so Weghorst could be in for a start against Les Bleus.
📊 France Form and Stats
France also got off on the right foot with a 1-0 victory over Austria. It was far from plain sailing for Deschamps’ men, who were perhaps fortunate to take the lead through a misguided Max Wöber header into his own net. That came just after Baumgartner spurned a huge chance, missing his kick when faced with France keeper Mike Maignan.
N’Golo Kante was a standout performer, extremely energetic despite initial doubts about his performance levels since his switch to Saudi Arabia. He bailed out William Saliba in the second half with a magnificent recovery tackle, a perfect example of his importance in the team.
