Joachim Andersen has committed a foul in each of his last four Premier League appearances, coinciding with Fulham losing Calvin Bassey to AFCON. Andersen’s foul numbers were already pretty strong for a centre back this season with the 29 year old committing 17 fouls across his 17 Premier League appearances this term (1.03 per 90).

Fulham have been one of the most aggressive sides in the Premier League this season with the Cottagers averaging 11.2 fouls committed per game - only four sides have committed more fouls than Marco Silva’s side this season. Fulham committed just five fouls in their most recent head to head meeting with Crystal Palace, which is a real anomaly when looking through their seasonal numbers, but Andersen was still roped into committing a foul.

He lined up against Jean Phillipe Mateta in that clash, who is expected to be his opponent here. Mateta is priced as low as 1.25 to win a foul in this encounter, making the 1.72 on offer for his direct opponent to commit a foul a very appealing price. Andersen committed a foul in this fixture last season as Fulham ran out 2-0 winners over Palace.

There is the added element of Andersen being a former Palace player, which is likely to play into the temperament of the Fulham centre back - who is the aggressor of Fulham’s current defensive duo with Jorge Cuenca only committing one foul across his five Premier League appearances.

Andersen’s foul record has earned him three yellow cards this season, and I wouldn’t put you off looking at Andersen for a card here as well given his former affiliation with Palace, and assignment against Mateta who can be a real handful.

There is decent value with this selection when backing with Bet365, the same market is priced as low as 1.36 with other major bookmakers.
