🟡 Betfair Super Boost: Nick Woltemade to have 1 or more shots on target v Man United (Was 1.57, Now EVS)
I’ll be honest, Woltemade is a strange player. He’s only managed a shot on target in one of his last six games, it’d be two if you included his own goal against Sunderland.
That said, after a brace and three shots against Chelsea, this boost does look appealing to me. Regardless, the best price you’d get elsewhere is around 1.70, so managing 2.00 shows there is value in the selection, even if his hit rate isn’t the best.
The thing for me is that although he’s not clinical, he is taking shots, so we should get chances. He’s had 2+ shots in seven of his last nine starts across all competitions, with 3+ shots in three of those. It’s not like he’s not getting chances, he’s just struggling to get them on target. But when you look in depth at his games, he does tend to turn up in the bigger match-ups.
He had two shots on target against Man City and Chelsea, and one against Arsenal. He hasn’t played against Liverpool or Villa to compare his performance against others in the top seven. He’s now facing a Man Utd side who concede 3.82 shots on target per 90, and the bookies have Newcastle 4+ shots on target priced as short as 1.36, so they clearly think it’s pretty likely.
With Woltemade coming off the back of a brace, it’s a boost I’m getting behind.

🟡 Paddy Power Super Boost: Matheus Cunha & Mason Mount to have 1 or more shots on target each (Was 2.0, Now 3.0)
Man Utd suffered a hammer blow in their defeat at Aston Villa with captain and talisman Bruno Fernandes picking up a hamstring injury.
With Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo both off to AFCON, Man Utd’s squad is looking light from middle to front with much attacking responsibility set to fall on the shoulders of Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount.
Cunha has caught fire in recent weeks, scoring in Man Utd’s last two games and hitting at least one shot on target in three consecutive matches.
Overall, Cunha has registered 1.49 shots on target per 90 in his debut season for Man Utd since signing from Wolves in the summer.
Cunha therefore looks like great value to record at least one shot on target ahead of the visit of Newcastle to Old Trafford.
Likely to line up alongside Cunha behind Benjamin Sesko in attack, Mason Mount’s shot on target credentials appear less solid than the Brazilian.
The ex-Chelsea midfielder has only hit 0.61 shots on target per 90 this season, but his form has notably picked up in recent weeks.
Mount has recorded a shot on target in five of his last six starts in the Premier League and should therefore head into this match against Newcastle with confidence.
Cunha and Mount will both need to step up in the absence of Fernandes and at a Boosted price of 2/1 this is a bet I see value in.
