Brommapojkarna v Dalkurd
🏟
Saturday 9th July – 12:00PM KO
Under the management of Roberth Bjorknesjo, it could be argued that Brommapojkarna are already overperforming their pre-season expectations. Following promotion last season, as Division 1 Norra winners, they would’ve been aiming for some stability in the top-flight but a fairly gung-ho and entertaining style of football means they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures just five points off the top three.
In their 12 games so far this season, there has been a combined total of 36 goals which highlights their attacking approach. Only two teams have scored more goals than them but only four teams have conceded more, as well.
Their most recent outing was a 3-1 defeat away to AFC Eskilstuna, the league’s top scorers. That was the tenth time, out of 12, that Brommapojkarna’s matches have finished with both teams scoring.
They now face a Dalkurd side that come into this on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat at home to Landskrona. The visitors have won just one of their last six matches as they languish in the bottom-half of the Superettan table.
However, they have still stuck by a similarly aggressive and proactive approach in terms of the style of their play. In six of the last eight Dalkurd matches, both teams have scored.
So, whilst Brommapojkarna remain firm favourites, especially with home advantage, Dalkurd will fancy their chances of getting at the hosts’ susceptible back-line and continuing the recent theme of both teams scoring.

Utsiktens v Osters
🏟
Sunday 10th July – 2:00PM KO
Utsiktens come into this on the back of a 3-0 hammering of bottom-of-the-table Ostersund in their most recent outing. The home team have now enjoyed back-to-back victories and they have now extended their unbeaten run of form to six matches in the Superettan.
That run of form means they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting inside the top three of the table as they look for a sustained challenge at promotion. They have gone on in this run-in exceptional form, especially in attack. Only three teams have scored more goals than the hosts so far this season.
They now face an Osters side that have also been in some fairly poor form, though. The visitors’ most recent outing, though, have suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Skovde last weekend. They have won just two of their last seven matches.
The away team were expected to challenge for promotion once again like they did last season but they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table after struggling with inconsistencies throughout the campaign. Srdjan Tufegdzic will be beginning to feel some pressure as the season goes on because he will be expected to lead them towards the top end of the table.
They have been fairly entertaining to watch, though, with 35 goals coming in their 12 matches so far and 38 goals in Uksiktens’ 12 games.
The home team remain firm favourites but, much like a couple of other games in the Swedish second-tier this weekend, there will likely be some goals.
