Peterhead v Falkirk (League One)
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
If Falkirk are to claim a playoff place, they will surely have to go to out-of-form Peterhead and win on Saturday. The Bairns were expected to be one of the main protagonists in the title race, so to find themselves out of contention and struggling even to finish fourth is humiliating.
They eased to a 2-0 win away to Dumbarton last weekend in a match that has similar characteristics to this one and should have ample quality in order to overcome a toiling Peterhead side. There are no major injury concerns in their ranks.
Peterhead, meanwhile, have lost seven of their last nine matches in all competitions and are a team in freefall. Indeed, the only league match they have won since December 18 was against a Dumbarton side that finished with nine men.
Their record against the top five clubs has been terrible this season. Of 17 matches in this bracket, they have picked up just a single victory and have drawn on only three occasions. The other 13 games have ended in defeats.
They will be without a couple of key defensive players in the form of midfielder Simon Ferry and centre-back David Wilson, and these absences are likely to take a heavy toll.
Bets can be hedged on this by backing Falkirk either as a double chance or on draw no bet, but there is still good value in taking the visiting side to win over 90 minutes.

Queen’s Park v Clyde (League One)
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Queen’s Park are fighting to secure a promotion playoff spot but are struggling to get going, despite huge investment into the club in recent months. In their last 14 matches, they have picked up just three victories, all of which have been against clubs in the bottom three in the standings.
QP have, though, been very difficult to beat. They have drawn eight of these fixtures, including seven 1-1s and a single 0-0. They have not been noted for having high-scoring matches, with just three of their previous 14 in the league producing more than two goals.
Clyde, meanwhile, have had similar issues this season, though a 2-0 home success over East Fife last weekend does mean that they can approach the final matches of the campaign without any particular pressure on their shoulders.
Like Queen’s Park, they have specialised in draws in recent weeks, with three of their last five finishing 1-1. Indeed, seven of their 15 away games have finished all square, pointing to another tight encounter at Firhill.
On top of that, Danny Lennon has set his side up shrewdly this season to get the very most from a limited bunch of players. This is a game that they may well lose, but they are unlikely to be completely overrun by their hosts, who have trouble scoring goals on their difficult home pitch.
As a result, this is likely to be a low-scoring affair and the odds of under 2.5 goals look very healthy value.

Annan v Albion Rovers (League Two)
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Annan Athletic have enjoyed a surprisingly accomplished campaign that is now sure to lead them to the playoffs, and they appear intent on going into the postseason in an impressive style.
They have picked up five wins in their last six games, with the exception of a defeat at the hands of runaway league leaders Kelty a month ago. They have bounced back by winning four successive matches and scoring plenty of goals in the meantime. Indeed, they have netted 13 times in their last four matches.
Amidst that run was a thumping 4-1 away success against Saturday opponents Albion Rovers in which four different players found the net. Meanwhile, they have also overcome mid-table makeweights Stranraer and Stirling Albion in that time, suggesting that Saturday’s match is entirely in their hitting zone.
Albion Rovers, meanwhile, effectively secured their survival for another season thanks to a hard-fought midweek win over Stirling Albion, though a red card for striker Kyle Doherty late in that game means that they will be without the striker for Saturday’s encounter.
The Wee Rovers have achieved some success grinding out low-scoring draws in recent weeks but they have rarely faced an attack as in form as Annan’s, while their overall away record this season makes for uninspiring reading, including eight defeats from 15 matches.
Annan’s odds look generous as a result, particularly given the one-sided nature of the encounter these sides played out barely three weeks ago.

Prediction: Annan to Win, 1.70 on Betfair (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Stirling Albion v Stranraer (League Two)
🏟
Saturday 26th March – 3:00PM KO
Stirling Albion is a club at a low ebb at present. Having been expected to challenge for the playoffs this season, they have been forced into an embarrassing fight against finishing 10th – one that it finally appears that they have won. However, indiscipline continues to cost them and in midweek they were stunned 1-0 at home by Albion Rovers, having had a player sent off in the first half for the third time in their last five games.
After the first quarter of the season, Stirling sat comfortably second on 19 points having won six of nine games. Six months later, they are just three wins and 14 points better off. Meanwhile, the club is plagued with turmoil behind the scenes and few of the current squad can much fancy keeping their jobs next season. Motivation is likely to be low.
Stranraer, meanwhile, have run into some positive form lately. Although they suffered a 4-1 loss to Annan at the start of the month that appears to be something of an aberration. Otherwise, they have won three and drawn two of their last six.
The Blues have yet to beat Stirling this season, drawing each of their last couple of fixtures, but they stand as good a chance as any on Saturday in coming away from Forthbank with maximum points against an out-of-sorts opponent that is likely to be playing in front of an impatient home support.
