Lazio v Bologna
🏟
Saturday 12th February – 2:00PM KO
Lazio kick off a huge weekend of Serie A action as they host Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico. Maurizio Sarri’s side will have to quickly bounce back from their humbling 4-0 defeat to AC Milan earlier in the week in the Coppa Italia.
After a run of four clean sheets in Serie A, there were suggestions that the Biancocelesti’s leaky defence may be beginning to find its feet.
Coming up against quality forwards such as Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud exposed their weaknesses though and exhibited why the club had to be more active in the January transfer market.
A home game against Bologna is the type of fixture that Sarri would have wanted for his team to try and get back on their feet and continue their fight for a Europa League spot.
They may have to do it without star striker Ciro Immobile though, who is doubtful after picking up an ankle injury against Milan.
Despite these various difficulties, Lazio are facing a Bologna side that have won just one of their last five matches and have slipped down the Serie A table after a promising start to the campaign.
The Rossoblu are struggling to create as much as they were earlier in the season and despite Lazio’s defensive woes, they are unlikely to have enough to get any points from the Olimpico on Saturday afternoon.

Napoli v Inter
🏟
Saturday 12th February – 5:00PM KO
For the second weekend running now, Inter are involved in the headline match against one of their main rivals for the Scudetto.
It didn’t go their way last week after Olivier Giroud’s quickfire double late in the game meant that AC Milan took all three points and Inter were left wondering how a game they had so much control over managed to slip out of their grasp.
The Nerazzurri will be fully aware that if Napoli take all three points at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday, they will move ahead of Inter by two points. That being said, Inter do have a game in hand after the postponement against Bologna.
There is a chance that Napoli will be without Hirving Lozano and Piotr Zielinski for this game which is a blow but with the likes of Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne, Victor Osimhen and Fabian Ruiz all fit, don’t back against Luciano Spalletti’s side scoring.
As for Inter, Joaquin Correa and Robin Gosens are the two long-term absentees who should return at the end of February, but another blow is that Alessandro Bastoni is both suspended and injured for this game.
The defensive depth in terms of quality at Inter is not high and it is likely that one of Federico Dimarco, Danilo D’Ambrosio, or Matteo Darmian will come into the back three.
That will further aid Napoli’s quest for goals but Inter will still be able to call on the likes of Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez, Nicolo Barella, and the wing-backs, who are all more than capable of scoring against any opposition.
Both teams would really benefit from a win here so expect it to be fast-paced and hopefully full of goals.

Torino v Spezia
🏟
Saturday 12th February – 7:45PM KO
The evening game on Saturday is not exactly a recipe for goals. Torino are the lowest scorers out of the top 12 teams in Serie A but their resolute defence means that they sit 10th coming into the game.
The Granata have had a much improved season this year under Ivan Juric having been seriously involved in the relegation scrap in the previous campaign.
Their early season form has plateaued but they are still regularly picking up points and have taken a respectable seven points from their last four games.
Only Juventus, Inter, and Napoli have conceded less than Torino this season which is a very impressive record.
Venezia will have their work cut out to take all three points from Piedmont as despite often showing some very impressive build-up play, they are not finding the net consistently enough to drag themselves away from the relegation zone.
Taking just one point from their last five Serie A games means they have dropped into 18th, two points off of safety. They do have one game in hand over Cagliari above them. In fairness to the Arancioneroverdi, four of those last five games have been against Lazio, AC Milan, Inter, and Napoli.
Paolo Zanetti’s side are the joint second-lowest scorers in Serie A so far this season so even if they do manage to take all three points in Turin, it is unlikely to be by a wider margin than one goal.
Expect a Torino victory but as they have come accustomed to doing, they won’t score much more than they absolutely have to
