Achraf Hakimi to have 2+ Shots

We have not quite seen the same level of quality from PSG’s fullbacks that defined Luis Enrique’s side during the regular 24/25 season, but Hakimi should have chances to add a goal contribution here against the weakest team in the group.

Hakimi has created two chances and taken three shots in his three Club World Cup games so far, showing he is still getting into advanced areas and influencing the game in the final third, just as he did throughout PSG’s successful 24/25 campaign where they won a historic treble.

With 21 goal contributions in 48 appearances for PSG last season, Hakimi’s output was impressive for any attacking player, let alone a fullback. He should find space here against a Seattle side that has already conceded five goals in their two Club World Cup matches.

Hakimi’s Champions League performances were especially standout, with nine goal contributions in 17 games. He also created 36 chances (2.10 per 90) and took 36 shots (2.10 per 90), numbers that are remarkable for a fullback. Given these stats, backing Hakimi to have 2+ shots in this match looks a smart choice.

Joao Neves to Commit 1+ Fouls

Neves contested four duels and committed a foul in PSG’s opening game of the Club World Cup which they won 4-0. Neves came on from the bench in PSG’s 1-0 defeat to Botafogo in the second game of the group and managed to win all four of his duels.

Neves is a good player to back to commit a foul due to how PSG like to play. Luis Enrique instructs his side to employ a relentless counter press which doesn’t allow the opposition out of their own half, especially when there is a quality gap present between the two sides.

Neves committed 17 fouls across his 22 starts in Ligue 1 during the 24/25 season (0.83 per 90) and was more regularly tested in the Champions League - averaging 1.51 fouls committed per 90 across his 17 appearances in the competition.

PSG (-1) Handicap

PSG should be able to comfortably bounce back from their shock defeat to Botafogo in the second game of the Club World Cup group stages. PSG did rotate the side quite heavily with Mendes, Ruiz, Neves, Dembele and Marquinhos all missing out on a spot in the starting 11 which hampered PSG’s aggressive approach to games.

Most of those players should be called back into the starting 11 here, aside from Dembele who is still struggling with injuries. The return of these stars should be enough for the Parisians to overcome Seattle Sounders - the MLS side have lost both of their games at the Club World Cup so far, conceding five goals in the process.

Khvica Kvaratskhelia to Score or Assist

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been unfortunate not to score at the Club World Cup so far, with eight shots across two games (4.44 per 90) and an xG of 0.43. He has already contributed two assists, both in the opening match against Atletico Madrid, and will be keen to add a goal to his tally in this game. Facing a Seattle side that has conceded five goals in their two Club World Cup matches, Kvaratskhelia should have plenty of opportunities to make an impact.

During the 24/25 season, Kvaratskhelia scored seven goals in 25 appearances for PSG, proving he can deliver in front of goal. His creativity and eye for a decisive pass also make him a constant threat, as shown by his two assists in this tournament already. Against a defensively vulnerable Seattle team, backing him to register either a goal or an assist looks a strong possibility.

Given his high shot volume and involvement in attacking play, Kvaratskhelia is likely to be at the heart of PSG’s attacking moves. With Seattle struggling defensively, his combination of goal threat and creativity makes him a prime candidate to contribute directly to the scoreline once again. A goal or assist from the Georgian winger would be no surprise in this fixture.

Pedro De la Vega to have 2+ Shots

Pedro De la Vega could pose a genuine threat to PSG with his pace on the counterattack. The Seattle winger showed glimpses of danger in their 2-1 defeat to Botafogo, taking two shots in just 19 minutes off the bench. He followed that up with another attempt in his start against Atletico Madrid, proving he isn’t afraid to test defences even against top opposition.

Across his 15 MLS appearances this season, De la Vega has averaged an impressive 2.97 shots per 90 minutes. This consistent willingness to take on chances suggests he could trouble a PSG side that may leave space in behind as they push forward. His direct running and ability to exploit transitions make him Seattle’s most likely source of attacking threat.

While PSG are heavy favourites, De la Vega’s speed and shot volume make him a player capable of springing a surprise. If Seattle are to trouble the Champions League winners, the Argentine winger will likely be at the heart of their most dangerous moments. Backing him to test the PSG defence with at least one shot would be a reasonable expectation.

Nouhou Tolo to be Shown a Card

Tolo lines up as a left back for Seattle Sounders and was booked in their opening game of the Club World Cup against Botafogo. He found it difficult to deal with the wingers of the Brazilian side and was hooked after half time as he was on a booking.

PSG will be able to test Tolo even more regularly than he was against Botafogo here with the likes of Kvaratskhelia and Doue offering a compelling threat on both flanks, the duo like to swap roles as well at times so Tolo could find himself up against either of PSG’s widemen at different points in the game.

Tolo has received four yellow cards and one red card in the MLS this season, further underlining his aggressive nature in these sort of situations - no Seattle Sounders player has been shown more cautions than Tolo this season.
