Slovenia v Denmark Best Bets
There is quite a lot of evidence in the data and the form that favours Denmark in this match.
Slovenia will have worked on a number of things after discovering the draw pitted them back in against the Danes, there is quite the difference in chances and performance levels to bridge from the qualification matches though.
With the recent form that Denmark have put together pre-tournament as well, there is enough confidence to back the Danes on the match odds market at 1.75.
Along the lines of Danish dominance another good bet is to back Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen to take at least two shots each at 1.89, at the time of writing. Hojlund is averaging 3.22 shots per 90 as a Denmark player, and hit five in the two friendlies just played. Eriksen has hit eight in his last two starts for Denmark, and has averaged two shots per 90 in competitive internationals since the beginning of the Qatar World Cup.

⚔️ Slovenia v Denmark Head-to-Head
The key result in qualification was the victory that Denmark achieved at Parken. While the final score was a seemingly narrow 2-1 victory, the match itself was anything but even.
Slovenia managed only two shots in the whole match, posting 0.08 xG, with Denmark peppering the goal and generating over 2 xG in comparison.
The first match between the pair in qualifying had been slightly tighter, finishing 1-1, but even then Denmark managed to shut most of Slovenia’s attacks out.
On that occasion, Slovenia managed six shots, but only 0.38 xG, with Denmark creating three big chances, taking ten shots and amassing 1.68 xG.
That makes an aggregate xG of 0.46-3.72 across both matches. It is quite the gap to bridge for Slovenia.
📊 Slovenia Form and Stats
Slovenia did a better job against the rest of the qualification group than the Danes, winning seven of the eight remaining fixtures.
Six of Slovenia’s last ten matches have gone over 2.5 goals, and five of the ten saw both teams scoring.
Overall, Euro qualification saw Slovenia have a +1.1 goal difference per match over their opponents, but only a +0.5 expected goal difference per match, so their performances perhaps weren’t as impressive as the scores may suggest, albeit the Denmark matches may be a big cause of that difference.
📊 Denmark Form and Stats
Denmark came out of European Championship qualification and March friendlies with quite a lot of negativity over their performances.
Apart from the aforementioned excellent performance against Slovenia, Denmark really flattered to deceive against San Marino and Northern Ireland. Switzerland probably had the edge on Denmark in a 0-0 friendly at Parken in March and only a 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands a few days later did nothing for the public spirits.
However, competent victories over near neighbours Sweden and Norway heading into the finals has restored some positivity and, regardless, of fan sentiment, will have given the players and the coaching staff a lift going into the tournament.
Overall, Denmark have lost just one in twelve, similar to Slovenia, with that defeat coming to Northern Ireland after qualification was confirmed. Six of the last ten matches have gone over 2.5 goals, and five of the ten have seen both teams scoring, again, exactly the same as Slovenia.
Where Denmark differ from Slovenia though is that the xG data over qualification gives them more reason for optimism. While their goal difference per match was only +0.9, their xG difference per match was +1.2, which is a good deal better than Slovenia’s.
