Xavi Simons has improved as the season has gone on for a Tottenham side that find themselves in the relegation zone ahead of this clash. He initially found the speed and physicality of the league tough to handle having come over from the Bundesliga, but has bulked up a little and improved his sharpness which can see Simons be a pivotal player for Tottenham in the run-in as they look to avoid the drop to the Championship.

I think De Zerbi will like Simons, he’s often managed to get the best out of attacking talent and I think Simons still has a bit more to offer than what we’ve seen of him so far. Simons’ shot output has also improved as the season has unfolded with the former Leipzig man taking 36 shots across his 17 starts in the Premier League (2.03 per 90).
