World Grand Prix Darts Day 4 Double

Fixtures for: Thursday 9th October

Jonny Clayton v Luke Woodhouse

World Grand Prix Darts

20:00

Jonny Clayton to Win

Having beaten Andrew Gilding 2-0 in the last round, Jonny Clayton should follow up with a win against Luke Woodhouse. Clayton has shown his liking for the 'double in' format, and seems almost assured to hit a double 8 or 16 in his first three darts every time - which gives him a big advantage over his opponents.

Luke Woodhouse played reasonably well against Demon Heta (2-1 win), but it is difficult to see him being able to live with the Ferret, as Jonny only tends to get stronger as tournaments progress.

While meetings between these two have been few and far between, with only three in total, Clayton has won all of these head-to-head battles, including a 6-2 win against Woodhouse in July. Once again, Clayton's experience will be very useful in the five set format, and I expect him to get the job done here.

Luke Littler v Mike De Decker

World Grand Prix Darts

20:45

Luke Littler to Win & Most 180s

Even though Mike De Decker is the defending champion, it seems unlikely that he will be able to live with Luke Littler if he even gets close to matching his performance against Van Veen in the last round.

Ven Veen almost beat the all time tournament average record (he averaged 106.47), but still went down 2-0 to Littler. The greater number of sets in this round will only make De Deckers task even harder, and will give Littler plenty of time to get into his groove.

These two have met six times in total, with Littler winning on all six occasions. Littler has also won the 180 battle on both of the pairs last two meetings.
