Brazil’s opening World Cup clash sees them pitted against Morocco – a side just one spot below them on the FIFA Ranking.
The betting numbers do not reflect that, though, and there is value to be found on the African side, who are protecting a long unbeaten run.

📂 Brazil v Morocco Cheat Sheet
📈 Brazil Qualification & Recent Form
With 6 automatic qualifiers from CONMEBOL, there was never any realistic danger of Brazil missing out of the finals, yet Carlo Ancelotti’s side finished 10 points behind Argentina in the 10-team group. They lost 6 games along the way, which was the most of any automatic qualifier from South America. While they bagged 24 goals – the 3rd highest figure in the group – they only netted more than 1 on 1 of the 10 occasions they faced another automatic qualifier. The Selecao were also terrible on the road, with their only away win coming against bottom side Chile.
Neymar has been ruled out of Brazil’s opening game and when he returns is not clear. Meanwhile, Rodrygo, Estevao, Eder Militao and Wesley, all potential starters, have failed to make the squad due to injury.
📈 Morocco Qualification & Recent Form
African qualifying is notoriously fierce, yet Morocco eased through Group E untouched, boasting a perfect 8 wins from 8 games to propel themselves to the World Cup finals. With 22 goals, they scored more than twice as many as any other side in their pool – netting at least 2 in 7 of 8 games - and conceded only 2 goals.
The Atlas Lions suffered an enormous double blow in their final friendly game against Norway as key figures Nayef Aguerd and Abde Ezzalzouli both picked up injuries that have seen them ruled out of the competition. Marwane Saadane and striker Amine Sbai have been drafted in.
