With the end of the club football season fast approaching, Euro 2024 is just around the corner. As ever, we will be all over the tournament here on Andy’s Bet Club, providing you with everything you need for a profitable month of top-quality football.
As ever, we will have our famous Cheat Sheet tool ready to go for every one of the 51 games to be played in Germany this summer, along with our expertly-crafted bet builders to help you find the value from the group stages to the final on July 14.
We proved at the World Cup in 2022, that there is always value to be found backing a longshot in international tournaments, and with Group E looking wide-open, this may be the place to look for an underdog who could shock the continent.
Our dark horse and longshot tips will help you decide which sides are worth exploring, whilst our Players to Watch Out For article will help you get to know the lesser-known players who may carry their nations to unexpected heights.
A runners-up spot in Group J saw Slovakia qualify for an impressive third consecutive European Championship finals. Last time out The Falcons were one of the two unlucky third-place sides to miss out on a round of 16 spot.
Slovakia have reached the knockout stages once before as an independent nation, in 2016, where they were knocked out by Germany. Francesco Calzona’s side will believe they have a chance to at least match that result here with Group E looking amongst the weakest in the tournament.
According to the FIFA World Rankings, Slovakia are the worst side in this group, coming in at number 55, seven spots below Romania in 48th. They are huge longshots to win the group, at 11.0, but could offer nice value if backed to qualify from the group at 2.20.
They perhaps owe their qualification to the strength of their group, with two sides qualifying from Group J, with the closest challengers being third-placed side being Luxembourg, who were thrashed 9-0 by Portugal during the qualifying campaign.
Players to watch in the tournament include top scorer and Sparta Prague forward Lukas Haraslin, who had three goals in just six qualifying games and has 12 goals for his club side this season; and Ondrej Duda, who committed and won more fouls than any other Slovakian player throughout qualifying.
With Duda having both committed and two or more fouls in seven of his eight qualifying games, and ranking in the top five for total fouls won and committed across all nations in the entire qualifying campaign he is one to remember in the player fouls markets when crafting a bet builder on any Slovakia games this summer.
As we proved at the World Cup in Qatar, Andy’s Bet Club is the place to be for expert betting tips that can give you the edge you need to hammer the bookies whilst enjoying some of the world’s best footballers going head-to-head in Germany.
