After finishing a strong third in the last edition of the Euros, Spain will be hoping to return to their former glory days of 2008 and 2012 when they were crowned back-to-back champions of Europe.
A dominant qualifying stage from Spain hasn’t paid too many dividends as they find themselves in perhaps the most competitive group of the whole tournament alongside the all-consistent Croatia, last time’s champions Italy and Albania, who too showed real strength and character in securing their spot at the finals.
Andy’s Bet Club will be providing all the information and Euro 2024 tips, predictions & accumulators you need throughout Spain’s progression through the tournament, with cheat sheets and bet builder resources available for every contest, as well as daily expert tips, acca tips and predictions.
Our experts will be hard at work looking for the best value selections across Spain’s outings, all you need to do is follow along on their hunt for a fourth Euros title. On top of that content, you can also find x, x and x each day, only at Andy’s Bet Club.
Betting on Spain Games for Euro 2024
La Furia Roja are the only side to win back-to-back editions of the Euros and their qualifying performance was certainly that of champions – eight games, seven wins, and scoring a massive 25 goals, the third highest goal tally across all the groups. Amassing a ratio of five goals for every one goal conceded, Spain certainly looked a threat and looked to mirror the Spanish footballing giants we have been so accustomed to over the last decade.
Spain scored three or more goals in five of their eight qualifiers, including netting seven against Georgia and six against Cyprus, and their attacking depth looks stacked with talent coming into this tournament. Joselu and Alvaro Morata were both on form in qualifying, each scoring four goals, especially impressive figures from the Real Madrid striker who only played 234 minutes of football in that time, giving him an average of 1.54 goals per 90. Both of these strikers will be pushing for that starting number nine spot which could certainly breed feisty competition.
Rodri also proved a consistent attacking threat, averaging 1.79 shots per 90 with 1.04 hitting the target. The Man City anchor hit the target in six of the seven games he played and he has shown his desire for an effort on goal when playing for club this season, where he averages nearly two shots per 90 – he might appear a good value selection throughout the competition.
Averaging 2.88 goals per 90, Spain showed themselves to be true attacking giants, especially considering their average of 6.88 shots on target per a game throughout qualifying. They also managed to slot three past Brazil in their most recent friendly with the South American giants, so goal markets certainly seem favourable.
Spain currently sit fourth favourites to win the tournament at a large price of 9.00 and there was plenty of evidence they have every chance in this year’s edition to go far into the tournament.
They are by far the side to beat in Group B with the best form leading up to June 14th and they’re currently priced at a decent price of 1.91 to finish top of the group. But do be wary of the strength of Italy and Croatia who always perform on the big stages. The best bet seems to be for Spain to reach the quarter finals at 1.44, a feat they have achieved in five of their last seven appearances at the Euros.
