Dumfries has been a prolific shooter in recent weeks, coinciding with a slight tweak in position. Early in the season, he registered a low shot count as he was often reduced to a bit-part role, while with the Netherlands he was deployed as a right-back as opposed to the wing-back role in which he has been more dangerous.
