Switzerland v Spain Quarter Final Preview
Both sides produced immense entertainment in their respective last 16 fixtures and here is to hoping this quarter-final can also deliver in St Petersburg on Friday. The Spanish ran-out 5-3 winners against Croatia in an end to end ding-dong battle which in reality could well of had even more goals. The Swiss showed their incredible fighting spirit by coming back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 and go on to eliminate the World Champions France in probably the biggest shock of the tournament so far.
Switzerland at Euro 2020
Well I think the Swiss surprised us all with their performance in Bucharest last night as they came from behind on multiple occasions to eventually see of World Champions France on penalties. They really showed their quality, particularly from an attacking sense and some of the goals they scored on the night were truly exceptional. A player that may have flown under the radar for some but certainly hasn’t for me is Eintract Frankfurt wingback Steven Zuber. Wingbacks have had a big impact in this tournament and Zuber certainly isn’t an exception. Interestingly he leads the way for assists in the Euros with 4 already to his name and has been constant threat down the left hand side for the Swiss. He is priced at 10.0 to register an assist here and given his form I feel that is decent value for an outside bet.

Spain at Euro 2020
The Spanish after a slow start to the tournament have certainly found their feet and have scored 10 goals in their last two games going in to this one. Despite a relatively unknown team with few world renowned names, Enrique has his team motivated and playing some impressive football at times. They consistently dominate the ball as you would expect from the Spanish and in Pedri look to have the next big thing with his performances a joy to behold. Despite the goals there is an argument that they are lacking a top quality striker which many thought could cost them during the latter stages of the tournament. Alvaro Morata has become something of a laughing stock given his wayward finishing but he has still managed to score 2 goals this tournament which is credit to the amount of chances the Spanish create.
The Swiss are yet to keep a clean sheet at this summer’s tournament and in all honesty look a bit ropey defensively. The Spanish are now looking very fluid in attack and are creating chances at will. Spain are 2.7 to score in both halves which I think looks decent value.

Switzerland v Spain Betting Tips & Predictions
The Spanish are really growing on me this tournament and their most recent performances against Slovakia and Croatia were thoroughly impressive. The fact they are missing loads of chances and are still top scorers in the tournament with 11 goals says a lot about them as a team. They boss the ball and the creative sparks of Pedri, Olmo and Torres are proving hard to handle. The Swiss are missing captain and key man Granit Xhaka through suspension who will be a huge loss and I expect the Spanish to win in what should be another entertaining affair. 3-1 Spain win is my prediction for this one.
