Netherlands know that a win here ensures a second place finish in the group as even if they lose their final match with Bosnia & Herzegovina and Hungary beat Germany, the second place spot will be decided on goal difference in the matches played between Netherlands and Hungary.

This should be all the motivation Netherlands need and they have a much more polished look to them in home matches played in Amsterdam. They go into the game with little squad disruption whereas Hungary have what could prove to be a key absentee in left wing-back Milos Kerkez which will hamper their attacking threat.

Tijjani Reijnders is playing at an elite level currently. Capable of playing multiple midfield roles, for Netherlands he is utilised in an attacking role.

His shot numbers in four Nations League matches so far read 5-1-5-0 with 5/11 shots going on target.

Reijnders has scored four goals in his last four club appearances and has had at least one shot in 12/14 matches for AC Milan this season.

Referee Jesus Gil Manzano is notoriously strict. He averages 7.4 yellow cards per game in La Liga this season and also give out six yellow cards in the one Champions League match he officiated.

Netherlands are expected to dominate the ball here making Hungary to more likely team to be on the receiving end of Manzano’s card brandishing.

Neither side are known for receiving lots of cards. In their four Nations League matches, Hungary average 1.25 cards per game and Netherlands average 1 card per game.

But Jesus Gil Manzano is a whistle happy referee who will look to keep a tight, controlling leash on the game.

Dumfries has taken six shots in four Nations League matches this season and at least one in every game. He’s scored twice from an xG of 1.49 and offers a threat in both open play when advancing from right back and from set-pieces where he often the target for first contact.

Dumfries also averages a shot every 85.2 minutes for Inter Milan this season where he has also scored twice from an xG of 2.39.

As well as offering a shot threat, Dumfries is also the player on the Netherlands team with the most demanding role. He has combine his defensive role with joining the attack and is constantly up and down the pitch.

This can lead to fouls. Dumfries has committed six in the Nations League so far, including four against Hungary in the reverse fixture.

For Inter Milan this season, Dumfries averages 2.96 fouls per game.

The best value for a foul in the Hungarian team is right sided centre-back Endre Botka.

Botka has played in three Nations League matches and averages 1.97 fouls per game.

For his club side, Ferencvaros, Botka averages 2.18 fouls per game this season – one foul every 41.3 minutes.
