Few players can rival Openda’s average of 1.58 shots on target per 90 in the Bundesliga although it’s no surprise to see the Belgian hitting these numbers; last season he averaged 2.05 and the season before, 1.81 in Ligue 1.

He’s made twelve domestic appearances this season, hitting the target at least once in all bar one.

Although Inter’s defence has been pretty strong this season, a repeated feature has been momentary lapses of concentration later on in the game. Given that Openda has not once been taken off before the 80th minute and tends to last the full 90, he’ll be there to pounce if Inter make this mistake once more.

In Lautaro Martinez’s mixed form as of late, Thuram has stepped up and hit a fine patch of form, arguably being the Nerrazurri’s best player this season. Despite being an incredibly reliable centre-back for Inter, an inclination to commit fouls seems to have crept into Bastoni’s game this season, with the Italian averaging 1.65 per 90 in Serie A.

It’s been a similar story in the Champions League where Bastoni has been penalised on five occasions across just two matches.

All in all, Bastoni has committed at least one foul in thirteen out of his fourteen starts for Inter this season, only failing to do so when subbed off early against Hellas Verona.

He’ll come up against Lois Openda who’s averaging 2.87 fouls drawn per 90 in the Bundesliga this season.

Barella has demonstrated remarkable consistency in the fouls-drawn department this season but it’s no surprise that the tricky Italian midfielder is a handful for defenders.

He’s averaged 1.71 fouls drawn per 90 for inter in Serie A, winning at least one in eight of his ten matches. In the Champions League, he’s won four fouls in just two starts, meaning he’s been taken out at least once in each of his last nine starts across all competitions.

His counterparts in the midfield include Baumgartner who’s averaged 2.17 fouls per 90 domestically, and Haidara, averaging 1.36.

Having recently dispatched Arsenal at home, Inter come into this clash unbeaten in 11 Champions League games at the San Siro, nine of which they’ve won.

Across all competitions, the Nerrazurri are undefeated in the last eleven games, having lost only one of their seventeen clashes this season.

RB Leipzig on the other hand, have lost three of their last four games and are yet to pick up a single point in the Champions League, having suffered defeats at the hands of Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and most recently Celtic.

Although Sesko does somewhat play second-fiddle to Openda, it hasn’t stopped him from firing at least one shot on goal in nine of his last ten games across all competitions.

Looking more specifically at his performances in the Champions League, Sesko has tested the keeper in all four appearances, despite his side’s dismal displays. In what are arguably Leipzig’s two toughest games, he has two shots on goal against both Juventus and Liverpool.

Inter are averaging 3.75 shots on target conceded per match in the Champions League although their clashes with Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade are keeping this average below what it otherwise would be.

No player in Serie A with 3 or more starts has averaged more fouls per 90 than Dumfries’ 3.41 which makes him outstanding value at evens.

Across all competitions (club and country), Dumfries has sinned at least twice in 10 of his most recent 13 starts. When looking solely at games for Inter, this selection has been a winner in six of his seven starts this season.

The Dutchman has started three of Inter’s games in the Champions League and sinned 12 times across them, including four times most recently against Arsenal.

His counterpart is likely to be Antonio Nusa who’s averaged 1.69 fouls won per 90 himself in the Bundesliga this season.

Baumgartner has averaged 2.17 shots per 90 in the Bundesliga despite being deployed out of position in a large number of games this season.

Including matches for club and country, Baumgartner has fired off at least two shots in each of his last five games. While he’s struggled for gametime this season, this selection has been a winner in all three matches in which the Austrian international started in his preferred position as an attacking midfielder, where he’s expected to be on Tuesday.

It’s also worth mentioning that Inter have been conceding shots for fun in the Champions League, facing an average of 18.25 per 90 across their four games.
